I so tired of all this. I just want the season to start and hope this amounts to nothing. If it does, it's Bruce's own damn fault.

Apparently the fact that there actually are NCAA rules must have slipped his mind. But I'm so glad that he remembered that unethical conduct is always the correct answer to any problem.

No I am not, but its just not that big of a deal, IMO(compared to a UNC/USC situation)

Maybe his daughter went to school with the Kid, who knows? But to invite a recruit over to your house for your daughters graduation party doesnt scream CHEATER to me.

I'd hate to be the guy in charge of fulfilling FOIA requests at Milwaukee right now. It'll be a blizzard of paper there for some time to come.

As much as I would like for it to be different, you have been on target as to his character flaws from the beginning. Nothing that comes out would surprise me now.

It's not like I had some crystal ball that gave me those insights. Ask pretty much any other coach in America about Pearl in a private setting and it won't take you long to figure out what kind of guy he is. Adding that to his conduct around town made it quite easy to ascertain he is exactly what I've said he is.

I really wish he would do himself and the university a favor and just go away. This situation is going to do nothing except make UT look like a laughing stock across america. How can we continue to defend this man and just hope that he will win enough to justify keeping him.

Yeah, the 'AA is going to treat Tanning Bed out and out lying to them about breaking a rule he's already been tagged for violating before as a secondary violation. It must be nice to live so completely detatched from reality.

But the violation in of itself is what we are talking about. No doubt the lying was dumb, and I have yet to see anyone to defend Pearl on the lie. But to say that a secondary violation at UWM is proof of his constant cheating is dumb... are we going to anoint every coach who has a secondary violation as a cheater now?

I can't see anyone trying to defend Pearl by throwing out Cal and Kiffin. Neither have been in this situation and both are likely to be smart enough to never find themselves in this situation. There is no way to defend Pearl and his hypocritical actions only serves to make this situation worse. I am surprised by the number of fans who continue to try to support this man when there is no basis to do so except the old every body does it routine.

You are right, I seriously doubt we'll ever see Kiffin or Cal in this situation. If the heat ever gets this hot on them they'll just cut and run. Heck Cal went all the way to China to get out of the spotlight during the Rose deal. Either one wouldn't hesitate to leave the school to face the burden of all the punishment. I am sure we'll never see either one of them stand up and take the hit.
