It does explain why Pearl lied about the Craft picture. He saw what happened to Sampson for being a recidivist, so he took his chances that he could charm and dupe them into going away.
Pearl must have one of those Asian massage parlors in his house where a recruit can pick out his girl. Otherwise, I can't see the big allure of bringing a kid to your house when he's not supposed to be there.
Still, a graduation party 6 years ago? Eh. I know this is a heinous act in hatworld, but I'm mildly put off, or amused, or whatever. I will say that if this is the unseen part of the iceberg I keep hearing about from the usual crew, I'm not too concerned.
Your head is so far up your own ass to see the light. Anything little such as this you overblown. Bruce has never said or acted like he was the "last honest man in the business" but you act as though he has said that. Bruce has never acted like he was the saint that you said he tried to always act like he always had. And once again Bruce has never had a record of cheating. But your dick has not gotten off hard since this came out where Pearl did something incredibly stupid and lied to the NCAA. I have seen no one defend his lying and even people supporting him like me know it was stupid and know he should get punished for it. However, you take it to the extreme like always because Pearl didn't sign an autograph for you or something and then pass it off as though you are in the know when everyone knows you are not unless you take into account your other username or your 3 or 4 other guys in your little posse who randomly post right after you do.
Deon Thomas begs to differ.
Didn't know that him doing that proclaimed that he was king of all right doing. In that situation he may have claimed that but I have yet to have seen him claim that in his career. The only thing I have ever seen him say was that he had to watch his step more closely than a lot of coaches because of that.
Does Fulmer helping to get Alabama nailed, make him the king of all right doing? Does Thad Matta's apparent reporting of Bruce Pearl make Thad the last honest man in the business. Because I'm pretty sure that Fulmer and Matta aren't either one of those.
I'm not a fan of either Fulmer or Matta, but they never turned in another person because they were jealous they couldn't get the recruit. Craft had already committed before this took place.

I think this is a case of the media butchering interviews with Pearl. All those profiles where he busted out phrases like "doing the right thing" and "acting on principle" and "I'd do it again" were incomplete. What he actually said was "Doing the right thing is what I've convinced the mindless sycophants I do" and "Acting on principle is what I claim to be doing when I'm really just a self serving snitch" and "Having a junior to my house after being busted for it already? I'd do it again." Once his comments are placed in proper context, he doesn't look so bad.I'm not a fan of either Fulmer or Matta, but they never turned in another person because they were jealous they couldn't get the recruit. What are you talking about, this is just flat out ridiculous. How could Hamilton hire a coach that invited a recruit over to a graduation party. I hope the NCAA slams UWM and strips their Sweet 16 banner for this heinous act.
It's all a grand conspiracy between ESPN, Nike, WWWes, BP, Haliburton, Iron Man, John Cena, Jason Derulo, and Bob Corker to stop the Pearl Express.
I'm sure Bruce thought he was doing the right thing just like Thad thought he was doing the right thing in each instance. Doesn't mean that Bruce or Thad do not bend rules or have kept their noses clean their entire career. I've never heard Bruce say he has been clean in everything he has ever done on the recruiting trail just like you won't hear Thad Matta, John Calipari, etc... They will say something vague such as we run a clean program, but me being a Pearl fan knows he like any coach tries to bend the rules. What I will not deny is that he was very dumb to lie, and I will stick by that because it was dumb. But all this other drivel that you are pointing out is just dumb like the UWM thing.
