So much lulz

When it becomes clear that Martin is likely gonna make the tourney and be retained, thus ending your hopes of #BBB, you have to have a fall back. So now it, sources are saying Martin wants out so secretly Hart and Martin are working together to win games to get Martin out of Knoxville. This is pure gold.

Fwiw....I'm hearing Martin and Hart are currently working on a raise and contract extension. His wife who recently opened up a business in Knoxville is looking to expand and purchase a few more stores. At least that's what my source is telling me.

I guess we'll find out if it's true. I mean, according to many here Zo is a great coach so I would think he would have many potential suitors. And if that's the case and my guy is spot on, he would be gone in a heartbeat.

I'm sure he will have so many programs beating down his door.

Another clueless post. If you don't think hart and cm have been making plans on their own, well, its not surprising.

Plans to do what? Part ways when the season is over?

No I don't think they've been making plans for that, if that makes me clueless then call me Mr. Bean.

Who's said that?

Or are you making things up to fit your argument?

Well, it seems many here are in the "I told you so" mode. For what reason I can't understand because just making the tourney isn't what many envisioned to start the season.

Anyway, I don't think Hart is a believer in Zo. He's not his hire. But if he extends him it becomes his hire. From what I hear and what sounds logically correct, his headache would go away if Zo found another job.

Anyone of why posts specifically? Or are you also making that up, as you did with the "according to many Martin is a great coach" comment.

I don't think Hart will offer up $3 million and do whatever it takes to keep him, but according to a few who have proven to be in the know, Hart and Martin are already working on an extension.

And fwiw, this isn't me being a "Fighting Martin", I actually said months ago the best thing for both sides is for Martin to make the dance and take a job elsewhere. I don't think that will happen, but we will see soon enough.

Let's see. If I just look at the first page:

Zo deserves an extension

Antonio Barton quote

The end of various threads like "Are there any Zo supporters left" and others. Not hard to find.

Huh?

How about specific posts, I looked on the first page of the thread and found none saying Martin is a great coach or people saying "I told you so".

Hello Mr. Bean

So according to you, wanna make sure I've got this straight, Cuonzo Martin and Dave Hart are currently shopping Zo around with the agreement that Zo will take a job elsewhere when the seasons is over? And that the way the team is currently playing is because those 2 got together and decided it was a good idea, because the better they play the more teams that'll be interested?

I didn't say that. You said if I'm clueless call me Mr. Bean. So I called you Mr. Bean.

As to your other post, I relayed info from a friend that happens to be a fairly high level booster. I prefrenced it with a "He is someone who should know" and TIFWIW.

Finally, you used to be one of my favorite posters. Now, it appears all you do is run around from thread to thread trying to pick fights. Not that you care but you've lost a lot of respect from me. I disagree with many on this board on many things but it seldom gets confrontational.

Just got a phone call from a source who would know....

Martin was tanking the season because Hart said it would be easier to fire him that way. However when Hart realized he would have to pay a buy out, he decided to sit down with Martin and come up with a plan. They decided to pay off fellow SEC teams on the schedule to lay down and take a drubbing from the Vols. This will continue into the SECT until at least the point the Vols are into the dance. Once into the dance the Vols will go back to their normal ways and get beaten to a pulp. The work will be done at that point though. Martin will look like a good young coach, and schools will come calling. Martin will take a job at another school for even less money then he currently makes, and Tennessee won't owe a penny. Other names will come up, but ultimately the call to Pearl will be made. He will inform Hart that he loves Tennessee so much that he will actually not only work for free, but he will actually pay Tennessee to allow him to be the coach.

TIFWIW JMO IMHO FWIW GBO VFL

Im just not sure how we went from "Hart will look for any reason possible to keep Martin" to "Hart is hoping Martin wins more games so he will take a lesser job elsewhere".

There's nothing in the board ground rules that says you have to comment in every thread. You think it's dumb. That's fine. Leave it alone. I posted what I heard from someone that knows some people. I don't really give a damn what you hear from some recruits that were told some BS by an AD that would have no reason to tell them other than what they want to know.

It's an interesting perspective you provide. You start the season saying "let it play out". Then a couple weeks ago you say you don't think Zo is a long term guy. Now you seem to delight that he might sign an extension. Weird fella you are.

Plans in case things didn't work out the last few games. wtf plans do you think I'm talking about. Can you see more than a day in front of you? People in big business do and CM and Hart both have plans depending on what happens. They aren't children.
