Anyone else?

I guess it came from my childhood? And continue's.

To me it was & still is the best show (reruns) or else's ever made!

Now im not an old person' nor am i a youngin, 30 for atleast another yr. I cant imagine much of anyone under my age ever enjoying such a program.

Now' That said, there has to be atleast 1 person to view this and respond with, some Andy humor. I know theres a "Otis" out there, anyone else?

Favorite episode? Fav guest on the show? Fav saying?...Anything! If it's Mayberry speak up..

My favorite episode is where Andy is trying to teach Opie about giving and Opie reveals he "gave" another boy a black eye. Andy responds that he's talking about giving to get enjoyment from it and Opie pipes up, Oh, I enjoyed it. Turns out Opie wasn't giving in church because he was saving to buy a schoolmate a new coat.

I always laugh at the dialogue between Andy and Opie on that episode.

The black eye one is funny.

I like the one where Andy is talking to the buys about starting a club called the "Mayberry Minutemen". Opie asks any.."Will you teach us" then Barney pipes in "Yeah, will you teach us?".

how about the fun girls- they call Barney..Berney.

The fun girl's...Ahhhh! The one with the raspy voice, kill's me.
She is also in the episode, when the 3 women escape from prison, and hold barney and floyd hostage in a cabin.

I love the 1 when Barney gets drunk with otis, trying to get him to confess where the shine steel is...and he left the tape recorder on.

I enjoy all the episodes so much it is hard for me to list a favorite. I do like "Citizen's Arrest" and the one where Barney is trying to requalify shooting the pistol quite a bit.

They're all good! :p

All great show's, it is hard to pick a favorite.

I do admit, i dont much care for any of the in color episodes. No barney, no floyd and so on..... The boys (Darlings) with out charlene and Mr.Darling, are the Dillards. Great bluegrass band! I love how they never said a word, and Mr.darling rented a room for the night and snuck them in thru the window. Just jump in where ya can...and hang on! Dooley....

Dooley!!

I hated the color ones also.

How about Aunt Bee's pickles? or Barney and "nip it".

RFD' lol yea...tried to make something work that wasnt ......LIO' the bird thing hit home' sorta speak.....I didnt stalk birds lol but there was a lesson in almost every episode. That one stands out!

Deputy Fife never caught a crook in his life! So andy had to stage one! lol....Glad it was only $24 or bammers would be already calling that great lawyer they have ......Bet he's never been to mayberry?

The fued mentioned' is that the one when Andy decides to ask her out? and help barney out, and get him all fuzzed up?

That pickle episode lol, would'a sucked if it was you or me. Aunt Bee always over did things, so trying to give them pickles away to passer by's wouldnt have been a crime!

Also' since Ernest T. Bass was and will always be very much mentioned, R.I.P Howard Morris (1919-2005) passed away from natural causes May 21st. Long live Mayberry! and the local rock toss'r..

Barney trying to Qualify with the pistol, is if im right? havent checked, 1 of the first season, first episodes.. Few episodes, not all, nor towards the end, Barney is Andys Cousin.

I like the one with the young guy that runs Fletch off the road and ends up learning to "pay his own way" , and I saw the episode just the other day where Floyd was a white headed dude (I think that was only one episode) , I also like the one where Barbra Eden comes to town as a manicurist, and can anybody name all the other love interests of Andy besides Ms Crump?

I also liked the episode about Rafe Hollister getting his tetanus shot, especially the end where Barney needed one also!

Let's see: there was Ellie the Pharmacist, that chick who could shoot skeet better than him, one of those girls with the smoker's voice that he and Barney double dated, that nurse who gave Rafe Hollister the tetanus shot, etc, etc, etc.

Andy was a playa!

For those of you who are true fans of the show, there are a few really good books about The Andy Griffith Show out there. They tell a lot about the episodes as well as behind the scenes stuff.

Also, there is a rerun watchers club, or was. I guess it still exists. It is called TAGSRWC (The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club).

When I really want to escape from the pressures of this life we live, I just throw in a tape of the show and sit back and laugh my butt off. Barney rocks!!! :rocks: :rocks: :rocks: :rocks: :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:
