Maymon is to UT. As Noel is to UK

A better question would be how many of the UK players who come out this year will still be in the NBA in three years.

Orton is the one bad apple Kentucky has had, and everyone knew it.

Jones and Lamb will be just fine.

They're getting bounced around the D league...make a nice living? Sure. However, it's definitely not what they had in mind when they left early.

I have always thought that UT basketball players often get a lower grade than deserved, and UK basketball players often get a much higher grade than deserved, because of the name on the front of the jersey.

Guys who don't belong in the NBA at all can get drafted in the first round by entering UK as part of a Calipari class and then leaving "early."

I've said this for a few years, it's the cal effect. I have no doubt that if I suited up for UK I could find my name on mock drafts.

Every Cal-coached Kentucky player who left early is still in the NBA. DeAndre Liggins was a late second-round pick (53rd out of 60 players drafted) and even he's still in the league. People who make idiotic statements like this one should maybe try at least checking NBA rosters to see if what they're saying is even remotely correct.

Again, they'll be fine and will stick in the NBA just like every other Cal-coached Kentucky player has. It's not difficult to notice a trend.

Agree it was a general comment, but with this years Cal team I think it had some validity. I mean other than Noel(if he come back from knee surgery healthy) is their another player on that roster you feel good about being in the league 3 years from now.

Well, let's see. Three years ago, Kentucky had five first-round picks. How many of them are still in the NBA?

WCS will definitely be there. Assuming Goodwin and Poythress get their stuff together and don't play like they did against Tennessee, they'll be there too.

The comment was made about this years team..

Under a larger point that Cal gets players drafted that shouldn't be drafted and/or don't stick. If anything, the guys from three years ago like Cousins, Patterson and Bledsoe look like they were underrated, not overrated as they're implying.

Okay... can definetly see WCS and Poly. getting a shot with somebody. But neither have really gotten better since they have been at KY, and even Cal mentioned something over the weekend about this in a press conf.

Not trying to argue. Just conversatin :hi:

Who? Tobias Harris?

Again...who?

Hopefully Maymon will be fully recovered and a much better player next season. If that happens and Stokes stays and Hubbs is as good an offensive player as described we should definitely be in the top 15 next season and have a great shot of winning the SEC.
