Maymon out indefinitely...

No worries. The season isn't made in the first couple weeks of the season. As long as he's back by SEC play we will be fine.

CCM will have them ready whether he plays or not.

He can have them ready but losing an all-sec guy hurts no matter what. Will we be fine, assuming he returns, yeah...however now it likely effects our seeding if we lose a few early games.

Also, Rob said its unclear whether he's going to have another surgery or not. So nobody push the panic button yet.

" I asked Zo if that meant Jeronne was going to have more surgery and he declined to get more specific, so I would say that sounds like more surgery."

Regardless of surgery, I'm guessing he's out atleast a month.

Yea, not a positive, as in this isn't a good thing....

I guess it's how you read it. I took it as he isn't positive he's going to have surgery. At any rate, CCM declined to get specific. He may not know whether he needs to or not. Rob saying it sounds like surgery is purely speculation on his part at this point.

Ah see what you're saying, as in he's not positive...

His thread title is news on maymon, not positive....so I took that as I said, not positive news...guess it could go either way.

Even then, I know guys that had a scope to get a knee cleaned and played in two weeks. It just depends on how serious the surgery is. I'd rather not have him for NC State and lose the game than risk playing him and not having him for the SEC schedule.

I don't see where any of the concrete information supports saying Maymon is out indefinately. Hopefully it's a minor setback and Martin is just gaming the system a little.

Kenny Hall will be fine and Yemi has proven to be a valuble player down their in the paint with Jarnell Stokes. We havn't sunk just yet settle down vol fans.

How does this seem to happen to us?

I think the bigger concern would be playing shape. If he's scoped tomorrow, 2 weeks as you said, then how long until he's in playing shape?

Martin said right now he couldn't play a game, he isn't in game shape.

This could also free up some space for Stokes. Even though I think he probably start seeing double teams. Shooters have to be ready to shoot and Kenny and Yemi has to attack when they have the chance.

Stokes was going to play a lot anyways. His playing time was not going to be sacrificed. He is clearly better than both Hall and Yemi. If you mean physical space on the court, I would rather see both of their big bodies down there destroying the glass. I don't care about more space for Jarnell. He would be just fine either way.

Ok, loosing a player to on court or off court, grades, drugs is not an acceptable reason for lower productivity, just see CDD as an example, the fans have not cut him or the staff any slack, so Conzo..............Man up!

GBO!

You missed the point. When I say free up space I mean for him to score and be in the paint. Of course he is going to play the same amount of minutes. When your two best players are in the paint it can get clogged up. Of course I want both of them in the game. I'm a big Maymon fan probably my favorite on the team.
