He’s behaved very suspiciously about this. Iirc, when pressed for the evidence of this by UF AD officials, refused or couldn’t produce it. As a matter of fact, UF released a statement pretty much throwing McElwain under the bus on this, seemingly showing they dont believe him either.

Got a feeling UT and UF are gonna be on the market for a new coach at the same time. Guess who will make the far better, more competent hire?

GatorBait.net recently posted an article that explains the McElwain weirdness, and his seemingly frosty relationship with UF brass.

McElwain’s days at UF appear to be numbered...and the inevitable break up looks to be mutual.

New AD on our side making the next hire, so I’m not sure what expect on our end.

Death threats are seriously evil business. Poor jim, give him an extension, this years doesnt count, they brought his family...gasp...family into it....oh the humanity.

Heavy rumors he's gone Sunday. Apparently there were already issues between he and the UAA. False claims of death threats were just too much.
