I would ask what Peyton Manning thinks about that reasoning. Pretty sure he a had a presser just to say he was coming back and shock everyone!

I would think as a kid (and even if you are not that hyped up) you DON'T want to have a presser unless you are only coming back. Too many negative feelings in the room if you announce a departure. You want to be around encouragements.. not bombarded by the media criticizing your choice. Only coaches would be able to handle that IMO.

Having the ANNOUNCEMENT on the Steven Pearl show sounds like McRae doesn't want media involved or make it a huge deal....especially if he decided to declare. That's my gut feeling. Its a safer environment for him. I could be wrong but because of this scenario I'm going 85/15 he's gone.

Look at all the underclass men who have declared this year, how many went on radio on their own and did it and how many released the info through the school...Kentucky for example, every player that made a decision to stay, go or transfer did so THROUGH the school...I'll be shocked if McRae announces he's gone.

He's trying to give his buddy who has a new radio show some good publicity, that's all IMO.

If I understand correctly his "likely" isn't based on talking to McRae or knowing what he's gonna do, basically jut a guess off the given grade McRae has.

I think the fact McRae is announcing on Pearl's show means he's coming back.

So, if he is already scheduled to announce, then that means that he has had his meeting with CCM and been through his NBA evaluation process.

Same would be for Stokes. Maybe this is why the new big guy has a scholly offer already.
