MCU phase 4 rumor and discussion thread

Kang is the obvious choice considering the time travel being introduced in Endgame. He’s a great villain. Always liked him better than Thanos.

Another early draft had Thanos showing up through a portal holding a past Captain America's head.

Henry Cavill is being eyed to play U.S. Agent. Most likely in the Falcon and The Winter Solider as the government's chosen replacement for Captain America.

I could only see him doing that if they had some long term plans for the character, i.e. he's in some movies too.

Actually Rocket filled that role pretty well Endgame.

I grew up a huge fan of Wolverine. I was reading his solo book way before I actually started reading X-Men... But the character is way over used.

Agreed about Wolverine being over used. He shot to popularity during Claremont's run, then started crossing over into everything. I quit collecting comics around 2008-09, but even at that point, he had been put into so many different teams at one point or another that I lost count. It was ridiculous. In many ways, I felt they really trashed the character. He was by far my favorite X-Man throughout Claremont's early run. I loved when he infiltrated the Hellfire Club. But, IMO, popularity took a lot from the character.

Still hoping they keep X-men separate from the current MCU. But wouldn’t mind the FF being brought in.

I recently started re-reading X-Men from Giant Size #1 up. I’m going to try to get up to the Mutant Massacre at least. Last time I read them, and there were gaps in my runs, was 20-25 years ago. I’ve been trying to put myself in shoes of the 1975 reader. You can tell Claremont wasn’t quite sure what to do with the character. He focused on Storm, Colossus, and Nightcrawler way more.

One of the funniest things is in #103 when the team is at Cassady Keep and a Leprechaun... yes a Leprechaun... is the first to call him Logan.... we never see these Leprechaun’s again LOL.

I have the one shot Spider Man vs Wolverine from 1987, used to be worth some decent coin.

I have that as well. I have a lot of comics. When I was younger, I was a serious collector.

I was in the late 80s/early 90s, I still have them all, the McFarlane Amazing Spider Man run and his Spider Man run, a lot of Uncanny Xmen, Punisher etc...
