MD RB Marshawn Lloyd (uscjr transfer)

He is not an Elite RB. He is not even a Top 25 back in the country. Then you make up stuff like he is as fast as our RBs. He is 4.5 in the forty so that is just something you made up, he’s not faster than all of our RBs.
I said he's AS FAST as any of our RB's! Probably faster than Small, very close to the same speed as Wright and Sampson.

Have you watched that highlight film yet? At least try to be specific about what exactly makes all of our RB's better than him? Because it's literally just you and one other person who are completely blind to this guys talent.

Hes no where near as fast as Wright. ... Debatable about Sampson. However would be a solid pick up.

Lloyd is a nice back but we can probably put a hold on adding RBs in my opinion. More players will get into the portal after the bowl games. Could be better backs available in a few weeks and we have some other more pressing needs. Plus as others have said, Seldon may get a chance to play in a variety of positions. WR, RB, H-back…etc…I hope he lands at slot for majority of his snaps with special packages for him elsewhere. He would be nasty with that size picking on safeties.

Watch his film closely. He runs harder than our guys and is harder to bring down. He runs with more power than any of our current guys. He is better than Small or Wright. Remember he has been with terrible OCs. Lloyd would be a beast in our offense. You mention he isn’t a top 25 back in the nation. Well neither is Small or Wright.

Agree and I actually like Sampson better than Small or Wright. Loyd would be a really good add if we go after him.

Zach Evans was a much more impactful talent in last year’s portal. Only to be upstaged by a 3 star true freshman. He’s a talent and a take…but nothing vital.

We are going to have 4 running backs on scholarship next year. Most teams have 5-6. The dude averaged 5+ yards per carry this year and can make things happen in the passing game as well. Will have 2 years left of eligibility, and he's a top 50 recruit. Of course you take him. Whether he earns playing time is up to him, but there is no reason you wouldn't add a guy with his potential.

And if we go into next season with Milton or a true freshman starting at QB plus no solid LT, you'd better be damned good at running the football.

Correct me if I’m wrong but won’t we be returning Mincey and Crawford more than likely to play LT? I’d say one of them will move to RT if necessary, but I’m pretty comfortable with the offensive line especially after adding Karic. Land Campbell from Miami and I feel great about the offensive line!

Not saying this to imply I don’t want this guy, because getting this guy would be huge. The more talent we can add to our team the better.

One likely would move to replace Wright, but I'd rather it be Mincey. I see Crawford and Davis both as average backups. That LT is all important, and even if we move Crawford to the right and Mincey stays on the left, you wanna go thru the season with that kind of depth at tackle? I sure as hell don't. Hope some of the youngun's are ready to step up, but we really need another OT from the portal IMO, but hey, I'm a below average keyboard cowboy so what the hell do I know? Rhetorical.

I thought they both played well on and off this year, and I wouldn’t feel terrible if they were the options. I would like John Campbell to go along with Karic though and I would feel a whole lot better.

Just by looking at Loyd he looks bigger and faster than Wright ir Small. I really don’t get why any TN fan wouldn’t want him.
I think some of the naysayers just looked at stats (better yards per carry than Small) and refused to look at the game film so that they wouldn't be wrong.

You'd have to be blind to not see that he's more dynamic than anyone we have. It's very puzzling.

Really the only thing he doesn't have is Wright and Sampson's speed, but he still runs a 4.5. That is plenty fast.

In that highlight there is a long list of things he does that I have not seen our guys do.

Stiff arms
Spin moves
Hurdles
Breaking multiple tackles in the open field

I reaaaallly hope we get him, having someone that dynamic at RB is scary.
