Things have changed since then, a lot in the last 5 years or so. Between election interference to help Trump win and Ukraine, the world is a very different place than it was in 2012.

There is a difference between interfering to help Trump win because it was coordinated with the Trump campaign, versus interfering to help Trump win because Putin viewed Trump as friendlier to him, or at least easier to manipulate, than Clinton would have been.

I acknowledge that there is no substantial evidence to support the former. The latter is plainly evident.

which is why i still say the Patriot Act is the worst thing our government has done. it blew open the doors for all that came after to do whatever they want.

and you still see the same rhetoric pushed today that was used back then to justify it. if you don't support this thing it clearly means you want the terrorists to win.
