Memphis People, Chris Jones - What is this?

Looks like UConn has been handed down some sanctions today. I find it very interesting that the two guys mentioned, Cal and Calhoun, as working together to sabotage Pearl's recruiting because of what a "slimeball" UT's coach is, now have both received sanctions handed down from the NCAA. Pearl, on the other hand, has none.

Perhaps coaches like Calipari and Calhoun should make sure their own houses are in order before sanctimoniously working against a coach they don't like.

Yeah, but Pearl possibly cheated on his ex-wife, which in the world of college basketball is much more important than silly NCAA sanctions. Who cares about bothering following the rules when you can focus on with whom your rival coaches are sleeping.

Where did you find this? It's not on espn, and I can't find it anywhere.

It is in the Lexington Herald. They say Selby did not choose UConn because of upcoming sanctions. They are also having trouble with Calhoun's contract due to the pending sanctions, although Calhoun denies this as being a problem.

Unimane didn't say anything about pending sanctions. He said they had been handed sanctions. And that is no where to be found on the internet.

No reason to believe sanctions have been handled down, but are pending as NCAA has advised the UConn that they have found violations and sanctions are pending.

I'm a Memphis guy, whom, ironically has been a Vol fan since I was knee high--I can tell you that Pastner is going to start Joe Jackson at the point. As far as I know CJ is a no doubt Vol...Pastner's loaded up on recruits as it is...

Yeah, I should have said pending sanctions, I was skimming over the source. Regardless, I still find it ironic that the guy two coaches, supposedly, feel is such a blight on the coaching profession has nothing on his NCAA slate while Calipari and Calhoun both have/had some serious issues.

Sure he is. Not to get poetic here or anything, but as a wise man once said "Those who want to hate must have once embraced what they now set on fire.”

Pardon my French, but Calipari is just a piece of ****. He has a lot more reason than a hatred of Pearl for wanting to sabotage UT though. It is a dirty game and he is good at it. It would benefit him to steer recruits away from UT even if Pearl wasn't here.

Sir, if not for the French, we would not have our independence. :eek:k:

If not for Calipari, we would not have s*** to complain about s***. :yuck:

If not for Memphis State, we would not have urban infidels to hate. :boxing2:

I am thankful for all three. :moon2:
