Might I venture to ask why there are Christian Churches who are cancelling or limiting their services on Sunday because Sunday is Christmas?
I have a real problem with that and was appalled when the pastor announced they had moved the service to Saturday so people could spend time with their families on Sunday. Would have thought celebrating Christmas by having a church service would be the desire.
We won't be there Saturday and we'll be going to a service Sunday, just not there.
We are not celebrating when He was born, we are celebrating that He was born. The actual date is irrelevant
just an FYI
Who is this "we" you speak of?
Forgive me, if as a Bond Slave of the Lord Jesus Christ, I choose to only remember the feast I've been instructed to in the Bible and not the incorporated pagan festivals of tree decoration.
Did everyone already know I am a Religious wackjob or is it a surprise to some of you?
If the date is irrelevant, then why do you pay homage to pagan feasts by insisting that Christmas is still celebrated at the time and with the traditions of Saturnalia?
Why don't you personally celebrate it in February? July?
Im celebrating a birth, not a pagan feast
I don't think he personally set the holiday date. And why do you care so much that you go out of your way to criticize it?
