And just because someone denies it later, doesn't make it false. Do you think Lane Kiffin didn't make the gas pumping quote?lol:
Snead later said Meyer never told him that....thanks again for proving my point.
Just because someone writes it, doesn't make it true.
Oh please. This isn't something new that changed our minds. Meyer was as creepy and weird at Utah. He's a girly douchebag who happens to be a great football coach. The latter doesn't change the former.I understand it helps you cope by focusing on anything related to Meyer, other than his ability to coach and the Ls he hands you guys every year.
I felt the same way about UGA back in the 80s.

Exactly. You think Meyer placed that gay ass plaque of Tebow's third grader kickball speech? It's in Bruce Feldman's book. With quotes from his high school coach about how they had to talk some sense into Snead because he was ready to believe it. Feldman's a legitimate reporter; he wouldn't have put it in the book if he didn't think it was true.
You Gators are in total denial over Meyer's personal character. At least most of us admitted that Kiffin was a jackass from the beginning.

Does this really sound unbelievable? I suppose you believe Kiffin never made the gas pumping comment. Its a sad day when a thread starts with a claim that rival coach did something and then, when it is proven that he did not, the thread continues as, well, maybe he didn't actually do it, but I can see him doing it.
And Tennessee fans wonder why the rest of the country views them as at this point as having a collective screw loose.

In a related story...the best head coach candidates in college football told ut that they'd rather die than live in Knoxville and coach the vols.
vince's kid decided it would be a good resume builder.
I don't know if Meyer actually said this or not, it appears he did not but the perception around this league in particular and college football in general is that something like this is wouldn't be too outrageous to dismiss outright.
He is a great coach and no one can take that from him but he does have a different thing going on that lends itself to rumors and speculation about stuff like this.
That "thing" that is different is that in four years he won the SECE 3 times, the SECCG 2 times, and the national championship 2 times.
That is why people want to reach so hard to find a basis to criticize him. Its getting old.
