'20 MI OL Justin Rogers (Kroger Field, folks)

He hasn't done anything since getting embarrassed by vandy and mizzou.

He hasn’t coached an f’ing game since Vandy and Mizzou. If you’re trying to make that argument, then Saban hasn’t done anything since getting blown out by Clemson. And there’s a LOT of unbiased people who would argue that Pruitts had a better offseason with coaching hires than Saban did.

When the LOM make a point (e.g. cruitin sucks, CJP sucks, staff sucks, he gone, we’ll never be relevant again, there’s a problem in the program, etc) and then die on the hill defending it, what exactly is the payoff? Assuming these things are true, what can any of us do to change it? Are we a better fan base when we’re miserable? Is my life better when I’m unhappy about things I can’t change? Am I a better person when I obsess over things I can’t change? Is the program more likely to improve because we are unhappy? Seriously, what’s the point?

Some are cynical, others truly believe it. Many I suspect are just hedging their bets so if Tennessee does good or bad, they get something out of it

Bc I need an excuse for my life sucking and I might as well blame Tennessee football.

Not serious but generally that’s what you’re dealing with people who are miserable in life and want to come on here and spread their misery.

We get fed sunshine for everything. People on here would have crucified you for saying Mike Debord was a bad hire when we made it. Just gets old. Pruitt had a pretty garbage year 1, talent or none, and recruiting is mostly lackluster. Offseason hires look great, but on field isn’t looking so hot yet.
Honestly the offense worked better under Debord than anyone else. He was the only one I believe Butch allowed to run the offense with minimum micromanging.

this thread is off the rails.

we just finished year 1. it wasn't good. but here's a news flash...it wasn't going to to be good.

no one is going to argue for 5-7 being successful. no one.

bug good grief. there's a lot of writing off int his thread for things that haven't even happened yet...from recruiting to on field results.

here's another news flash, or two:
1. we aren't going to have the #1 class in teh country. may not even be top 5. will probably sitll be in that 6-12 range again, and the good news is that will be back to back classes of that ilk...that's at least a foundation to build on going forward.
2. the record for 2019 is likely only going to be moderately better than last year....5 w to 7 w, and a bowl seems realistic, and if things fall right, could maybe get 8. but wouldn't be surprised necessarily at 6. disappointed, sure. not necessarily surprised, considering the OL and DL issues we still do have.

either way, you at least owe it to yourself to see how it plays out before you call it...one way or the other.

i mean seriously...you think anyone wants to come back in here in December and talk about another 5 win or 6 win season? hell no. we all know what that looks like, and what it means.

wouldn't most of us be happy with 7+ w's this fall? hell yes. so all you gotta do is decide how you want to spend your time talking about the future...............option 1....bemoan all the reasons why we'll fail and count on that, or can you find any path to success for this team, and then, how does that success translate in to helping us for the future w/recruiting etc.....

jeez. it's may. chill. if we suck, we'll have plenty of time bitch and moan about it....again. lol.

So is Rogers to UK legit?

I’ll believe that when he faxes them his LOI. So,

NO

In fact, here’s a list of things I’ll believe happen before Justin Rogers signs with UK:

1. Sisyphus successfully rolls his rock up the hill.

2. Vols beat Bama by 100.

3. Bama renounces half their claimed titles.

4. Bass stops using the eyes emoji.

5. Posters stop claiming Atlanta Vol is a fake insider.

6. World Peace

7. End of world hunger

8. Vikings, Bills, Browns and Falcons win the Super Bowl.

9. Kentucky wins a national championship in football.

All of these are possible except for number 3.

Even if he commits to KY there is no way he signs with them. They might win 6 games next year.

So he's not only a troll, but an uniformed troll? That's "well, bless your heart" territory if I've ever seen it.
Yes...he has a uniform. 😏

Five-star OL/DL Justin Rogers out of Oak Park, Mich., will announce his commitment on May 20. There was a lot of positive buzz for Tennessee around his official visit to Knoxville the weekend of April 12, but a more recent official visit to Kentucky seems to have swung themomentum in their favor. I am told thatTennessee coaches are expected in Rogers'school later this week. One more official visit, toGeorgia, will be taken the weekend of May 17.

I still think we get this one. He might not even make it in for the Georgia visit. If I was Pruitt I’d hold off on visiting his school until next week, and bring the entire coaching staff up to Oak Park

Even if he actually commits to Kentucky, we’ll flip him after they implode and Stoops leaves for FSU or another school in need of a new coach

i think it's probably wishful thinking for him to cancel that GA visit. and yeah, i'd be shocked if there's not a big visit from us next week...

really hope we get this kid. would be a huge get.....thanks to Clemson there's just not many 5* DL out there anymore....endangered species. i'd like to get at least 1.......lol.
