'20 MI OL Justin Rogers (Kroger Field, folks)

It's almost like a school that historically didn't invest in football was somehow going to suck when put in the best conference in the nation...

Shocking.

We finally start investing and putting real effort into the program and just a few years in we win 10 games.

What are your thoughts on what you return this year? I don't know much beyond your starters, but do you think you'll be able to replace Snell's production and what you lose on the defensive side of things too?

Snell will be easier to replace than people think. His best assest was his consistency but it was the OL that made Snell seem better than he was. Our offense was garbage, so I'm not worried about the dropoff.

Defense is where we lose a ton. Secondary will be rough. We have depth and potential at most positions but I'm just not sure who is stepping up. I trust the coaches to develop though. We have a few players who are now 2 and 3 year redshirts who will get their chance now.

6-8 wins is what I think unless the offense surprises me. I think it will pretty difficult to win games allowing 30+.

Who wins more games this year, UT or uk?

Who wins between uk & UT this football season?

Funny how you conveniently never answered my question from this morning.... 🤔

I dont answer every single question during a busy work day so sorry man.

I don't really know what to expect from UT. I think UT will be a bit better but I really haven't paid attention to the attrition/recruiting, etc so I simply dont know.

My gut says both teams will probably be in the 6-8 win range. Its probably a safe bet to expect UK to not show up against UT though, which could be the difference.

I can only imagine the overflowing optimism on their boards these days. Many actually believing they might win the SEC one day. Hilarious.

UK fans are eerily similar to Vol fans. A lot of Battered Cat Syndrome and a lot of delusional people who expect way too much based on little evidence to prove otherwise. Both fanbases consistently get pumped up only to be be continually let down.

The last couple years UK has had decent shots in the East though. Yeah, some other schools sucked but it's not a shock to me that we've swept a few of the other East teams for 3 years now.

Battered Cat Syndrome. Is that from having ZERO FOOTBALL HISTORY or Calipari only having ONE NATIONAL TITLE after having the number 1 recruiting class every year. Asking for every Volnation Poster that are Vol Fans on a TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER MESSAGE BOARD.

Delusional would be a great word for you.

You cant compare two schools man.

I admit to not watching UK very much but from all the highlights, Snell was breaking tackles and usually dragging folks.
Was it really the OL?

70 years of continually sucking after having one of the greatest coaches and not supporting him. My dad was one of the long time supporters who spent 50+ years watching a program continually suck. How does that lend to a fanbase full of pessimists and debbie-downers? For a program that sucked for so long and didn't deserve fans, there is a lot of people who have cared.

Basketball...not so much I guess. We are a very consistent and elite program. Sadly winning 1 or 2 titles in 10 years is just more impactful than overall winning % or ability to consistently make deep runs.

Snell is good, but I just don't think he is as talented as some fans and even the media said. His best skill was his consistently. Yes, he was tough, but the OL was very good and made him look really good. But he isn't fast, not super shifty, not blessed with amazing vision, just average in a lot of skills. Again, he best attribute was his consistency to always plow ahead for 5 yards.

Not comparing the schools. Just saying both fan bases share some similarities.

I'm probably the most reasonable UK fan you will ever talk with. I was shocked to win 10 games. I'll be shocked if we win more than 8 this year.

Reasonable isn't comparing Tennessee to uk.

I won't be snide but there's a difference. Given our past, our budget, recruiting classes and so on, we have some reason.
Unknown coaches are just that. We've struck out, no doubt but GA took the unknown route and played for a NC.
Until our unknowns are known to suck, we at least have reason.
