Their stateās claim to fame is grass, a āsportā renowned for animal cruelty whose most famous figure is a friggin horse from 40 years ago, and a giant hole in the ground. Get your black lungs outta here and give your kid some Mountain Dew in a baby bottle. Papa John is a racist drunk, and so was Rupp.
Lol...you donāt know the definition of animal cruelty. If you did, then you would know that just because those horses are racehorses doesnāt mean they are treated inhumanely. Racing is not inhumane or considered cruelty. Many of those horses are in tip top condition and are in excellent health...thatās not cruelty. Donāt judge the entire industry and sport on a few instances that have occurred. Those horses are elite athletes, just like human elite athletes. If you consider horseracing cruel and inhumane, then I guess you consider many human sports the same, especially football. So, why are you even on this board discussing recruits and TN football?I posted this to a Kentucky thread in the basketball forum. Seems apt here, too. Go Big Orange.
Snell will be easier to replace than people think. His best assest was his consistency but it was the OL that made Snell seem better than he was. Our offense was garbage, so I'm not worried about the dropoff.
Defense is where we lose a ton. Secondary will be rough. We have depth and potential at most positions but I'm just not sure who is stepping up. I trust the coaches to develop though. We have a few players who are now 2 and 3 year redshirts who will get their chance now.
6-8 wins is what I think unless the offense surprises me. I think it will pretty difficult to win games allowing 30+.
I know you know a lot more about the animals themselves and I have no interest in debating the entire idea about whether horse racing is or is not humane but, on this specific bolded point of yours alone, wouldn't the ability to actually choose to participate or not participate make a huge distinction in whether they are humane or not? No human sport involves forcible participation.Lol...you donāt know the definition of animal cruelty. If that be the case, then every single discipline that we use a horse for is inhumane, because they didnāt choose their occupation. In nature they would be running wild and free. There are many racehorses who love to run!! As a matter of fact, I would argue those that are successful all love to run. Those who donāt love to run donāt last long and are sent elsewhere to find a new occupation in their lives. Just my 2 cents.I know you know a lot more about the animals themselves and I have no interest in debating the entire idea about whether horse racing is or is not humane but, on this specific bolded point of yours alone, wouldn't the ability to actually choose to participate or not participate make a huge distinction in whether they are humane or not? Donāt you dare throw a stick in the water to a Labrador. Shame that someone would force them to jump in the water and grab a stick with their mouths while trying to paddle and breath at the same time! They could drown if they swallowed water! All for our pleasure! Oh the inhumanity.
