So, would a three loss team from the SEC still get in the BCS NC game over a one-loss Big Ten or Big Twelve team or even an undefeated non-BCS team? please discuss.
epic fail on Miami's part... you see what happened to them once they left the Big East? no conference titles or BCS games since then... so why would they want a HARDER schedule?
Miami needs the SEC much more than the SEC needs them. Fan support is terrible and their facilities are worse.
That said, UF fans would bring 40K fans down to Landshark Stadium to watch Randy Shannon get pounded.
Shannon won't be there much longer....IMO he was only a band aid to begin with...His head coaching abilities are terrible...But be assured they would go after a top coach to get them going again....Wouldn't take long with the talent they draw in down here.
Please....Miami joining the SEC is every single gator fans worse nightmare....You have beaten them ONCE in 25 years....It's no secret UF has avoided Miami like the plague....Adding Miami would keep UF from constantly scheduling those cream puffs they do every year :clapping:
Like UT-Martin? Western Kentucky perhaps?
I'm on record here several times as saying I'd like to see UF play Miami more often.
The OP's question wasn't whether or not UF wanted Miami in the SEC, is was whether or not Miami joining the SEC was a good idea. I don't think Miami adds anything to the SEC personally. They're a small private school with poor facilities, fickle fan support and very little commitment to sports outside of football and baseball.
That said, and this is probably the 5th or 6th time I've said it, UF and Miami should play a home-and-home at least once each decade.
