Miami will learn its fate tomorrow

Miami did not just cheat. The program, as an institution, was entirely corrupt. Coaches and players, and probably an administrator or two, could easily have gone to prison on racketeering and conspiracy charges. I seriously doubt we will ever see anything like it again.

Know what's funny? Despite their remarkable success this year, they still are not coming anywhere close to selling out their stadium. Other than UF, their home game attendance is averaging a paltry 47k a game. Out of a 78k capacity.

Cool story bro, Florida sucks

Check this site. I've been one of many who have for a long time been amazed at what Miami was doing back in the day and how long they got away with it.

Its disgusting to me that the NCAA did not come even close to the penalties called for here. I agree the DP was not correct, but that is because of the lapse of time. But what you got is laughable when compared to what was going on down there for so long.

The lesson to the rest of the league is to come clean when there has been wrongdoing and get out in front of it like Miami, not to hide things and be uncooperative like USC.
The lesson is you can cheat as long as you self report. NCAA is useless.

Sir, Miami's punishment now is so light because they self-imposed some hefty sanctions themselves and were completely up front with the NCAA during the investigation.

Look lets be honest here, Homer. Miami wasnt cooperative at all or the NCAA wouldn't have had to use unethical means to obtain information. The only reason they self imposed was because they knew what was going to happen. Miami got lucky that the NCAA is inept, simple as that.

The NCAA used unethical means because they have no subpoena power to force players that have already graduated to testify. Miami has nothing to do with that and can't force those players to talk anymore than the NCAA can.

"The only reason they self imposed was because they knew what was going to happen". YOU THINK SO?!?!?!?! F'ing brilliant deduction, there.

The irony of this coming from a Florida fan is superb.

So what exactly did Miami do that was so cooperative?
