God Bless his family. It seems cliche, but so many times when you take away a passion that someone "lives for", you see stories like this. Tough story to take honestly.

Prayers to his family. It's always tough to lose a loved one.

His mind and his heart couldn't take it. Coaching was his life. Not only that, but the way he was ultimately thrown out of his profession under such horrible circumstances.

Sad, awful day indeed.

Like the Bear, once out of football - soon out of life. Odd how it worked for both....RIP..

I don't exactly approve of what he did (to put it mildly), but I would never wish that upon another person. :ermm:

What happens to his soul is between him and God, but he deserves a slow, extremely painful death for what he did.

Wow he sure took a turn quickly. I knew he was in bad shape, but it seems like it did not get really bad until he "left" PSU

Cancer is a very serious and oftentimes sad thing...honestly, I have to admit I was kind of bothered when so many people started claiming this was all just a convenient story / made up / etc when news of his cancer first was released

I don't know why we do either. Biggest cover up in NCAA history bar the Baylor scandal (and potentially bigger by the end). Karma/Life/Fate/God/whatever you choose to believe in has a way of evening things out in the long run.

If you read Dante's Inferno, they have a very special spot in hell for Hypocrites.

it's also rife with contradictions...especially with regards to people Dante personally liked (Virgil is a great example) and disliked

Old Bear Bryant didnt have much of a retirement either - didnt he pass away like 4 months atfer he retired - then you have Fulmer living off the fat of the land.
