actually, Palin kept the popular vote closer than it would have had he picked Joe Lieberman or Lindsey Grahamnesty.

McCain made a lot of mistakes, but Palin wasn't one of them.

If memory serves, McCain was behind when he picked her. For about a week after he did, he closed the gap as Palin energized the base.

But then she started talking ...

well, she started talking to media outlets that were openly hostile to her. that's not to say she didn't perform badly at times, she did, but anybody can be made to look bad after an interview that lasted several hours is reduced to less than 30 minutes.

Joe Biden kept his foot in his mouth the whole campaign, that didn't cost Obambi the election.

Juan McLame was a weak candidate to begin with, his mistake wasn't in selecting Palin, his mistake was to stop her from going into attack mode against Obambi.

As Barry said; "I want to compliment McLame for not mentioning my muslim faith."
