As long as it stays a requirement for just the government/public land, have at it. Private property should still be allowed to do as they see fit.

I wish every Groomer would fly a rainbow flag in their yard or business. It would be like those sex offender maps so a person can identify places to avoid.

I'd fly hundreds in my yard if it would keep your ilk away.

OK, so you dislike "his ilk" and want to avoid him in life. What's wrong with him not liking this (LGBTQ) ilk? Why must he be asked to celebrate this ilk for an entire month? It's OK if he disagrees with Sodomy, hormone blockers for kids and trans with male bodies screwing up women's sports. There's a lot there not to celebrate

You have a crap ton of issues you've lumped into to one. The poster I said that to said he'd avoid "groomers" that flew the flag. This certainly insinuates all people supportive of gay rights are groomers. It is dishonest, narrow minded POS argument. Yours are as well.

I respect your opinion. Some people think the Pride stuff is a POS movement. Respect their opinion too

They have every right to have an opinion. I have every right to believe they are narrow minded POS for holding those opinions.

I see you're not so open minded about people with traditional values. I'm sure you think the folks wearing a MAGA hat on your golf course are a POS...they're thinking the same about you with a Rainbow Pride hat on. You are as much a part of the problem here as they are. There's too much division and hate out there

No, I am not to open minded about people who argue dishonestly by lumping pedophiles and groomers in with gay people. I think that people who don't think that gays deserve the right to marry are POS because they are trying to force their belief system on others. I have many friends that are MAGA fans and I could care less. Makes for good spirited debates. I am not friends with people that don't think that all citizens should have the same rights regardless of sexual orientation.

I feel my child is more likely to be "groomed" at church, school, after school sport, Boy Scouts, or any other extracurricular activity then they would at a gay pride event.

I've just never understood why someone's sexual preference was anything to be prideful about in the first place. I remember when the mantra from the gay community was "we just want to be treated like everybody else". Well, symbolizing your lifestyle with a flag, dedicating an entire month to commemorate it, along with public events and heavy corporate endorsement doesn't exactly scream assimilation to me.

The pride doesn't come from their sexual orientation. The pride comes from being out and open with who they are

Again, if they want to be treated just like everyone else, maybe not feel the need to call it to attention? I don't recall having a hetero pride month or people parading over the fact that they're straight. We certainly don't have a hetero flag. We just go about our daily lives and don't concern ourselves with the whole world knowing which side of the fence we're on.

A co-worker of mine is gay and he H A T E S pride month with a passion! He thinks it's a stupid concept (his own words) and he hates how the LGBT community is weaponizing it to coerce businesses into publicly supporting it, otherwise being labeled as bigoted and homophobic.

When you've been ridiculed, repressed, and disparaged for an a priori quality like your sexuality, it's different than being straight. Pride's about acceptance.

If you think equality is already achieved, look no further than all the prejudiced hatred exhibited on this forum.

There's still a ways to go.

That may have been what it started out to be, but not now. It's turned into a nasty political machine that's trying to manufacture acceptance by force. It's not going to work and you're already seeing a backlash.
