Michigan finally getting what they deserve!

What I’d like to have confirmed is if the USCe rumor is true. Did the cheater at Michigan give the Vols signals to USCe to help them beat the Vols which helped them get into the playoffs. To be honest, if you look at USCe and their prior 2 games, there is no way they go from barely scoring to being offensive juggernauts, likely scoring more in one game than they had the entire season up to that point.

That would only be an argument for them stealing our defensive signals.

Rattler is a talent, and in that game it all finally clicked for him, either individually or in synch with his receivers.

Boy, did it ever.

Like a billiards player with an invisible buddy moving all the other balls out of the way so this stud can take some clean, easy shots.

It all just magically clicked.

Heh.

Go Vols!

After seeing multiple Outlets report Michigan stealing signs and reportedly speaking to USC staff members, I do believe we were being cheated during last year's game against South Carolina. It really was like they knew exactly what we were going to do on every play!

He didn’t even get half of what he deserved

Not a fan of Michigan or any school above the Tennessee boundary, but to me this is much ado about nothing. I can't see where this gave any team that much advantage in the grand scheme of things.

99% of the coaches l've seen interviewed about it disagree with that. I don't think you are fully appreciating the scope of what they were doing and how superior it is to the traditional legal means of trying to read signs from the opposing sidelines. They were hunting deer with landmines.

Look, Michigan is the team I hate the most but this is so blown out of proportion it's pathetic. It's so stupid. It should be a slap on the wrist. If it wasn't BIG NEWS the media pushed on you to sell ads, it would be.
Exactly how I feel, overblown and beat to death. Like we need to give Sports commentators something to talk about. Next, we should investigate teams watching future opponents games on TV. Good grief, you still have to line up and play.

If you think this didn’t give them much advantage then when why go to those lengths to do it the way they did?

You’ve seen how we try to hide our own signs on the sidelines during the games. There’s a reason you don’t want other teams knowing what you are doing ahead of the play on either side of the ball

Well I mean Jim harbaugh went from being the most meh coach (2-4 in the conference) and being given 1 year with a paycut to figure it out. To what they’ve been the last 2 and 1/2 years. What changed after that 2020-2021 year? I’ll give you a hint it rhymes with Gonnor Gallions.

They should have hired him to steal TCU's signals

Then why use signals or cards with photos/symbols to send plays in?

Wouldn't it be easier to just have cards that spell out if it's a run/pass, what gap the run is designed for, routes for each receiver, when a screen is called, when the defense is blitzing, who's blitzing and what gap he's coming through, etc?

Why waste time coming up with and learning signals if there's zero advantage to your opponent not knowing the play?

,
Yeah it is easier to "click" when you know what the other team plans to do, (Clemson game also). He sure hasn't "clicked" since.

If you’re referring to the big black shields that Tennessee throws up before every offensive play, I don’t think those are to hide signals. Pretty sure they are used to help the players on the field find the coaches on the sideline who are signaling in the plays.

If keeping signs from opponents is that critical, then why allow anyone in the stands or along the sidelines other than immediate team players? And do background checks on fans sitting in the stands? Put a 1 mile no- trespassing zone around the practice field including ban on the Goodyear blimp and satellites .
I just think the role this plays in the outcome of a game does not rise to the level of attention it's getting nor the punishment that is going to cost Hairboughs his job

And since he'll likely be in the NFL next season, I doubt he will face what he really deserves. Maybe Michigan will take a page from our playbook and terminate him with cause before he rides off the the NFL? Suspensions won't bother guys like that nearly as much as hitting that wallet.

Does both.
