It's clear from your earlier post about TCU that you're not up to speed on this. Read up, then get back to us.If keeping signs from opponents is that critical, then why allow anyone in the stands or along the sidelines other than immediate team players? And do background checks on fans sitting in the stands? Put a 1 mile no- trespassing zone around the practice field including ban on the Goodyear blimp and satellites .
I just think the role this plays in the outcome of a game does not rise to the level of attention it's getting nor the punishment that is going to cost Hairboughs his job
Your analogy is foolish. You're equating what would be amateurs (fans) in the stands to a school operating an entire program designed to advance scout scheduled and potential foes.nope, stealing signs is something all teams try to do and everyone knows it. If you ain't stealing signs, you ain't trying. At any given game there are thousands of fans, some of them at the 50 yard line , all with the capabilities of stealing signs. Do we ban all fans from the stands ? All this clutching of pearls over something that cannot be prevented and that everyone tries to do is just silly
They did. TCU swapped signals in the game. They knew Michigan was stealing signals at that point. They should have hired him to steal TCU's signals
