Michigan spied on Vols last year

Based on what's out there, there's plenty to conclude Michigan was cheating. I've argued with some Michigan fans about some of that this week. Michigan should absolutely be investigated to see if they gave the info to anyone outside the program (including South Carolina and every other team), we're just way short on there being any proof of connection between Michigan cheating and that game (TN-SC 2022) right now. Hell, football Scoop said "may" and didn't name a team or a game. That's not enough to take it and run with it like a lot of folks have. Michigan's communications and use of the info should be investigated to the fullest extent though.
I agree the evidence isn’t there right now but with SCar’s DC’s connections to Harbaugh, Beamer’s willingness to accept and use opponents intel and UM seemingly going all in to ensure their place in the playoffs I will not be surprised if something comes out.

I didn't mean to offend, and the practice of standing up for your client would have been a better statement. I just think about how our debate club had members that would take a position and fight for it when I knew their personal beliefs were very different.

No worries, brother. We’re (mosty) all on the same boat here lol. Go Big Orange!

Hmm.. regardless if this thread, Go VOLS, beat Kentucky….again and again!

In meantime, I assure you Volnation I’m not looking for reasons or excuses that our VOLS didn’t get a CFB berth last year. The recent reporting of Michigan cheating and potentially expanding their scheme beyond their regular season opponents got me thinking a bit.

Whether or not UM shared some illegal scouting information with USC is really a question for NCAA to determine. It’s certainly not a good look for either program…. I still cringe when I hear about Pruitt/staff handling out “Chick-Fila” bags of cash… why I suggested the “Pruitt” penalty be applied to both UM and USC if investigations conclude that the predominant of evidence supports what’s being alleged against both programs.

Go VOLS and beat UK tonight as we normally do in late October!

BUT at this point neither the Michigan or USCjr University Presidents have jumped up and said we did this, the staff is fired and we are helping the investigators.

Big difference at this point the Donde playbook has not been used by either.

I do expect after a couple of more losses to see USCjr use this playbook to avoid the payouts but with Michigan in CFP prime spot no way will they use it…

I approve of their opinion.

If it is shown that a certain doofus of a coach in a certain wasteland of a city in central SC knowingly received this information and put it to use last year, what would the penalty be?

I think you fire the coaches. I don't like canceling the season for the players. What were they supposed to do? I guess you could let them transfer and not count this year towards thier eligibility?

After looking at what an anomaly the UT and Clemson games were last year, either Rattler and Beamer sold their souls to the devil or....... I guess sold their souls to a different devil.

I would agree if it were cheating in recruiting but cheating on the field to gain a competitive advantage is unfair to every team they play.

I agree. But the players aren't sign stealing. The staff is. You can't fire the staff and continue the season I guess. There wouldn't be anyone to run the program. But give them their eligibility back.

He would be fired and likely banned from coaching. A Vol "doofus" on youtube claims that this wouldn't be the first time he received info against the rules.

USCe would also have to vacate those wins and would very likely have NCAA sanctions. Not as bad as Michigan but severe.
