Whether itās realistic or not, itās expected to a certain degree. Heās the face of the program and a public figure. Itās part of his job (contractually) to not say or do things that reflect poorly on him or the university. āAw shucks, he came from humble beginningsā isnāt really an excuse. That's what's called an unrealistic expectation. Never in the history of ever has that been something that happens. You give people money and power on that scale, especially ones that came from humble beginnings, and it almost never turns out well. Bro had adults kissing his rear since an early age, is easily the biggest show in town in Stillwater for the past 4 decades. anyone expecting anyone in that position to not be a tad delusional is themselves delusional.
The way that the laws are written, anybody who has consumed any amount of alcohol and then gotten behind the wheel of a car within about 3 hours of consuming said alcohol can get a DUI. That's a significant amount of the population.
Having said that, it is an incredibly stupid thing for a person in his position to say.
Not exactly.... 1 Beer, No. 2 beers, with food, No. 3 Beers probably. It's all relevant to the time frame of consumption and stomach contents."anybody who has consumed any amount of alcohol"
T. Boone Pickens. He died in 2019. I think Gundy has more cover at OSU besides just his relationship with T. Boone (he's by far the best coach in school history, played QB there, has coached there in some capacity for 30+ years), but those two were pretty tight.Maybe Iām wrong maybe Iām not but isnāt the man that has protected him all these years dead?
Whomever the mega booster was.
The one charge that always floors me is the open container. You have to be pretty stupid to get caught on this one. What person cannot drive for 20 or 30 minutes without a beer? You gotta be pretty far down on the IQ chart to get this one.So Grundy says he's done this 1000s of times?
Gordon was arrested on June 30 on four charges; DUI under 21 years of age, transportation of an open container of alcoholic beverage, failing to maintain a single lane of traffic and speeding (82 mph in a 65 mph zone). He was formally charged with a misdemeanor on the first two counts in Cleveland County on Monday.
In 2022, 13,524 people died in alcohol-impaired driving traffic deaths."Distracted Driving" IOW your cell phone in your hand; is responsible for more accidents than DUI. So, let's have that talk too.
is responsible for more "accidents" than DUI. I didn't mention deaths, just accidents. Still I wonder about those numbers for distracted driving. Since 75% of drivers are distracted; intoxicated or not.In 2022, 13,524 people died in alcohol-impaired driving traffic deaths.
