I love hearing keslinng botch players names that have been there for 5 years and then studder when UT breaks open a big play. The only time he sounds great is when they overdub the highlights with a rehearsed Sound byte that he records post game [IMO, JMO, TIFWIW]

Mike adds some insight to the game but Kesling adds more of a wow factor in his commentating.

Kesling has a better voice for the job and just brings more passion with his broadcasts regardless of the game.

No way Bob K sounds better than Mike K... I do agree that Mike K has more insight. Bob K. is just flat out boring. I would have loved it if Mike K. got the call to replace John "The King" Ward..

I like to listen to Kesling. I think he does a good job. Butchers some names but is a good announcer. He is all Vol and sounds excited when calling the game.

Us older guys were spoiled by the great voice and game calling of John Ward.

I like bob because he gets kinda loud and boisterous when we make a big play.at least.

Mike sounds like a weasel

Actually Bob is an Ohio state fan.

He played for UT and has basically worked for or covered the team since graduating. He is VFL.

That said, I don't think he is the best announcer. Serviceable? Sure. I just don't hear this boisterous gravitas the few supporters on here are describing. I think he shows just as much excitement when the opponent scores as he does when TN does.

Does anyone know why Kesling and Priest didn't do this game? Were they replaced, or was this just a one-off? If Priest wasn't there either, it would seem that Kesling was replaced for football. I have not been able to find an explanation on the web.

A lot of people seem to like Kesling a lot more on basketball than football. So, perhaps basketball will still be Kesling and Bert. But, I wonder how hard it would be to lose the football job at a place like this and stay to do basketball.

Update: Nvm. Apparently, Bob and Tim did radio. So, I take that to mean that Mike Keith did the TV.
