I was wondering about this as well.

The way the players are probably looking at this, the university has essentially made a quick ruling in a dispute between an enormously popular head coach and a kid that no one seems to like.

This isn't Woody Hayes decking an opposing player as the culmination of a largely belligerent 25-year career where that exact outcome could have been predicted.

Yeah, Leach's popularity is so high that one of the team leaders essentially told the media the team's glad he's gone so they can get back to football instead of dealing with the circus of silliness that surrounds The Pinkslipped Pirate.

Wasn't there a bunch of "team leaders" that stood up for Fulmer when he was canned? Players tend to defend whichever side benefits them the most. Maybe this "team leader" thought Leach did his buddy wrong and he was taking up for him?? I'm just saying you never know until you know.

Adam james is a lazy brat that doesn't deserve to play D1 football. I'm no Leach fan but this one sided railing that ESPN and TT has put on Mike Leach is pathetic. I hope Tech enjoys being a Big12 bottom feeder once again.

I hope they hire Malzahn for the head coaching job. that would make auburns recruiting momentum come to a utter hault.
