Please tell me UGA isn’t one of themHe met with coaches this weekend, asked for NIL raise equal to Boo. Next day got it. Indicated he’d stay. Has been out of contact for a day. By the rules, we have to submit his papers tonight. He’s a great athlete, he has lots of good relationships on the team, but some of his closest relationships are in the portal. I guess he believes it’s worth shopping.
Well maybe we are in a different aisle, I don't think this is the type of person you want to come back after this display. He met with coaches this weekend, asked for NIL raise equal to Boo. Might be true, but weren't several teams seeing him as a DB? Maybe he's a great athlete but not up to snuff as a WR? Maybe he's worth the investment but only to a point? At some point, enough is enough. If the value isn't there it isn't there, and you're better off investing elsewhere. Not about the PT, MM wanted more money Vols didnt pay up all it is
Again…. The people I know are basketball….and they’re boosters so not really inside information…..but it’s my understanding that they gave him what he was asking for and it’s still up in the air. Timing means he’s in the portal. But this isn’t over yet, it’s also my understanding that we’ve gone as high as we’re going to and feel good about other options.Might be true, but weren't several teams seeing him as a DB? If he doesn’t want to be here then let him go where he will be happier. I truly believed him would be all SEC caliper talent in our system. He would’ve started here. I’m sure we wanted to pay him whatever a guy with potential and little production gets. This might come down to a system who hasn’t produced a starting NFL WR being coached by a guy the players don’t like.
You don't smell what I'm stepping in. When CJH is in some young high school kids living room talking to him and his parents about coming to play for Tennessee as a 5 star wide receiver, you can most assuredly bet that coach is not pressing on the family what a great run offense we have. Those kids are watching the same ESPN shows we are. They're also seeing the exact same height train the media shows about us. You ain't got to convince me that we've got a good running game going back two years. What you're not hearing is that I'm saying that the players don't get it. That's not what's being sold to them. They heard about the five Star quarterback that was going to be starting this year. They heard about how he was the top rated quarterback in the nation when he came out of high school. You think we brought that kid in to hand the ball off? No. We brought him in to be a gunslinger. And he's not. The hype train on Nico has come to an end. And the other players on the team are probably seeing that.A year ago we led the SEC in rushing just like we did this year…hell we were 2nd ihis very first year! Stats back it up and I’m sure Hype points this out to recruits
He played fine, drama queen. You don't smell what I'm stepping in. Maybe some of the athletic tight ends already on the roster and a couple of promising tight ends from our 2025 recruiting class can convert to wide receiver and provide needed depth?Whatever happens, I trust that Josh will make some moves in the portal. I can’t think of a player yet who has hit the portal and gone on to succeed so much that I wish they would’ve stayed. Heupel is a player’s coach. He retains the ones that matter.

He went in the portal bc he was supposedly scared Nico was leaving. He was assured Nico would be here, offered more money, and pretty much knew he would be the starter. Not about the PT, MM wanted more money Vols didnt pay up all it is
There’s every chance he was offered $$ before he left.He went in the portal bc he was supposedly scared Nico was leaving. He was assured Nico would be here, offered more money, and pretty much knew he would be the starter.
Guy knew where he was going when he went in the portal. Never intended to return.
