If he was so elite why did t he beat out the guys in front of him? Don’t think players should just get reps based on their recruiting ranking? Or should they demonstrate it in practice?

It is what it is. It appears that Tennessee does not have the money to compete at a top tier level in a pay for play system. I’d add Mike Matthews hasn’t really proved that he’s worth a top tier price. He may be an all American or just a depth piece, that remains to be seen.

Coming out of high school He was Uber Athletic physical player but raw as WR with much to learn then misses fall camp. I have always believed after watching his tape He would be AA as Safety He loves Contact. So just saying because of his Star ranking he a sure star as freshman is wrong please know your understanding of player before you spew hatred for our Coaches. In CHRIST Alone

Need to rethink signing these guys from high school if you aren't going to play them. Seems like money wasted for that one year that they are here. You might have been able to get someone else that could contribute immediately.

Well a Florida State fall off is definitely an exaggeration but unless this offense tuns around we will get passed by USCjr. Dylan Sampson is gone, we will be breaking in a new O-line will far less creativity in play calling, and our WR room will be totally new. I could see us being 7-5. On top of that Kelsey Pope doesn't give anyone confidence he can develop a WR. Hire from with-in gone be our Achilles Heel.
