Maybe this had something to do with removing the effectiveness of the raids by eliminating the element of surprise...

The trial against illegal alien Cristhian Bahena Rivera, accused of murdering 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts in Brooklyn, Iowa, has been delayed once again as the suspect seeks to have his alleged confession of the murder thrown out.

In August 2018, Bahena Rivera, an illegal alien from Mexico, was charged with Tibbetts’ murder after police said he admitted to confronting and chasing down the young woman.

After a nationwide search, Tibbetts’ body was found in a cornfield in Poweshiek County, Iowa. The illegal alien lived in a region of Iowa that was surrounded by sanctuary cities, as Breitbart News noted, and worked on a dairy farm using a stolen ID and Social Security card after allegedly crossing the U.S.-Mexico border as a child.

The murder trial, which was supposed to begin in September, has now been pushed to November 12 as Bahena Rivera’s attorney continue their effort to have the illegal alien’s alleged confession of the murder thrown out so a jury never hears the statements.

The law allows for the state’s 725,000-strong illegal alien population to be eligible for the same driver’s license that American citizens are afforded.

Government Accountability Institute (GAI) Director of Research Eric Eggers exclusively told Breitbart News that the new law in New York indicates that it is “only a matter of time” before elected Democrats in states like California, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Maryland expand voting rights for illegal aliens.​

D.C. Region Sets Up ‘Sanctuary Congregations’ to Shield Illegal Aliens from ICE

The Congregation Action Network — formerly called the DMV Sanctuary Congregation Network — is working in Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland to make churches places where people in the United States illegally can gather to prevent their detainment and deportation.

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday he would delay the start of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sweep to detain and deport migrants who had been served deportation orders but have instead disappeared inside the country.

“In response to President Trump’s announcement that his administration would deport ‘millions’ of undocumented immigrants in the coming weeks, the Congregation Action Network asserted its faithful solidarity with immigrant families across the DC Metro area who have been put into a fresh state of fear and trauma,” a press release from the network said. “Network clergy are speaking out and urging their communities to stay safe and their congregations to take action.”

“The Network has urged its members to reach out to local governments and law enforcement and urge them not to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),” the network press release said. “Lack of access to area detention facilities or support from law enforcement will make it harder for ICE to carry out widespread arrests.”

The network said that since Trump took office, they have been distributing “Know Your Rights” materials to migrants in the country illegally. It also has developed a “Deportation Defense” program that includes providing sanctuary to migrants inside of church buildings, according to the press release.

The network is also taking advantage of protocol ICE has in place to respect people in what it calls “sensitive locations,” including schools, daycare centers, health facilities, churches, and religious or civil ceremonies such as weddings or funerals.

Two Infants, One Toddler, and a Woman Found Dead in Texas on Border

MCALLEN, Texas – Sheriff’s deputies and federal authorities are on scene at a popular border park in the city of Mission after discovering the bodies of a woman, two infants, and a toddler near the banks of the Rio Grande. Authorities have not revealed if the victims drowned or if they died from another cause

Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra announced the discovery late Sunday night. The sheriff confirmed that the bodies are those of a 20-year old female, two infants, and a toddler. Officials found the bodies near the river in the Las Paloma Wildlife Management Area located southeast of Anzalduas Park. The FBI is expected to take over the investigation.

Breitbart News reported repeatedly on human smuggling activity in an around Anzalduas Park. The park is a popular county park that has become one of the main routes used by the Gulf Cartel to move Central American migrants into Texas. While the area has a heavy law enforcement presence, criminal organizations push the migrant groups through the park expecting them to get detained and eventually released. The smuggling activity comes at a time when the number of migrants being apprehended along the southern border is expected to set new records.

He noted that the leaked story "gave the location of the cities, the day this was supposed to start, how many targets" and added: "This leak -- which I know where the leak came from, I think we all know where the leak came from, that story only benefits one person -- put these officers at greater risk of harm."
