NYTimes: Biden Opens U.S. Border to the Globe’s Economic Migrants

President Joe Biden and his deputies have opened the nation’s southern border to a growing wave of economic migrants from Brazil, India, Cuba, Venezuela, and many other countries, according to a report Sunday in the New York Times.

“Agents have stopped people from more than 160 countries,” the newspaper reported, adding:

More than 12,500 Ecuadoreans were encountered in March, up from 3,568 in January. Nearly 4,000 Brazilians and more than 3,500 Venezuelans were intercepted, up from just 300 and 284, respectively, in January. The numbers in coming months are expected to be higher.​

“Most are simply being released to nonprofit aid centers, where they spend a day or two before traveling to join friends and relatives elsewhere in the United States,” the New York Times admitted.

Bill Lee Does Not Enforce a Conservative Refugee Policy, Tennessee Stands Warns

Members of Tennessee Stands told supporters in a newsletter this week that Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is weak on immigration and refugee resettlement issues.

“We have a crisis at the border and it’s undeniable. And while there are many areas we could point to regarding the Lee administration where things are not always what they seem, one of the most glaring for most of his time in office has been immigration and refugee resettlement. Lee is weak on enforcing a conservative immigration policy and has a propensity to use the guise of Christianity to support refugees pouring into our state,” according to the newsletter.

“And now here we are in 2021, and Chattanooga is at the center of the immigration crisis with buses and airplanes filled with illegal immigrants being sent to a local center right here in Tennessee by the Biden Administration. Multiple airplanes carrying unaccompanied migrant children from the southern border landed late at night on multiple days at Chattanooga’s Wilson Air Center. Upon arriving in Chattanooga, dozens of migrant children boarded multiple buses to transport them to various locations.

The chaperone informed our source that he was “escorting all these young men to Chattanooga for a shelter.” The group of migrant children reportedly had new-looking cell phones, clothes, shoes, and backpacks. Ten Convicted SEX OFFENDERS are arrested in just one week in Texas after illegally crossing the border

• Four individuals from Mexico and Honduras has been convicted for sexual assaults on children

As many as 10 convicted sexual offenders were apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol along a 245-mile stretch of the United States-Mexico border region in Texas last week.

The apprehensions were made by agents assigned to the Del Rio Sector during the week of May 17 to May 24, according to data released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Between May 17 and May 23, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officers arrested four individuals from Mexico and Honduras who in the past were convicted of sexually assault children.

One of the Mexican nationals had a felony conviction for sexual assault of a child under the age of 14. Another native of Mexico had been convicted for sexual conduct with child who was under 13.

U.S. Border Patrol agents from CBP's Del Rio Sector's Uvalde Station guard a group of migrants who were detained Thursday after they were tracked for more than four hours while crossing the U.S.-Mexico border

Data also showed that Del Rio Sector registered 95 arrests of convicted sex offenders - a 3,166% increase since the beginning of fiscal year 2021 - October 1, 2020 - in comparison with the same time frame of the previous fiscal year.

Supreme Court Shuts Down Attempt to treat asylum-seekers' Testimony as Credible

The Supreme Court on Tuesday shut down an attempt to treat the testimony of asylum-seekers as credible, siding with the federal government against people seeking refuge in the country.

The court unanimously found that a previous ruling from the California-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit had incorrectly ruled that in immigration cases, noncitizens' testimonies must be treated as credible or true. The court vacated the 9th Circuit's decision and sent it back to lower courts for further consideration.
