42 Million Want to Migrate to U.S.

BY JIM CLIFTON

Here are questions every leader should be able to answer regardless of their politics: How many more people are coming to the southern border? And what is the plan?

There are 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Roughly 450 million adults live in the region. Gallup asked them if they would like to move to another country permanently if they could.

A whopping 27% said "yes."

This means roughly 120 million would like to
migrate somewhere.

Gallup then asked them where they would like to move.

Of those who want to leave their country permanently, 35% -- or 42 million -- said they want to go to the United States.

Seekers of citizenship or asylum are watching to determine exactly when and how is the best time to make their move.

In addition to finding a solution for the thousands of migrants currently at the border, let's include the bigger, harder question -- what about all of those who would like to come? What is the message to them?

What is the 10-year plan?

330 million U.S. citizens are wondering. So are 42 million Latin Americans.

Of course Republican leaders haven't done crap on immigration, they are only "conservative" during campaigns but that doesn't excuse Biden's lack of enforcement either

conservatism =/= immigration restrictionist

The point is that Biden's administration is nothing remotely close to an "open borders policy." It's just more government failure with our status quo restrictionist policies

Umm illegal immigration restrictions, it absolutely means that. I don’t even understand the logic of not enforcing the border. It benefits absolutely no one except big business and drives down wages. Not to mention it’s a massive burden on tax payers and social services

How the Border Became the Disaster It Is, and How Biden Wants to Make It Worse

Understanding the decade-long series of specific decisions that led to chaos

By Andrew R. Arthur on September 20, 2021

The chaotic humanitarian and national-security disaster at the Southwest border did not happen overnight. Although the Biden administration has made it much worse by ham-handedly trashing successful policies put in place by his predecessor to gain control of the border, the disaster is the natural end-product of a series of specific decisions, likely well-meaning but poorly thought-out, over a period of more than a decade. Here they are.

TVPRA, and the Unaccompanied Alien Child Surge
The problem with bad policies is that they are usually enacted with the best of intentions by people who should know better. The best example of this is section 235 of the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 (TVPRA).

Under that provision, if DHS encounters an unaccompanied child (UAC) from a “contiguous” country (Canada or Mexico), it must screen that child within 48 hours to determine if he or she has an asylum claim or has been trafficked. If the child does not fear return and has not been trafficked, the child can be sent back home. So far, so good.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — With less than 48 hours left in Fiscal Year 2021, the Border Patrol has already surpassed the total number of migrant apprehensions made in any year along the southwest border since the agency’s inception in 1924. A source within Customs and Border Protection notes the unofficial apprehension record shows more than 1,646,000 for the year as of Wednesday.

No Apology from Joe Biden After Falsely Accusing Border Agents of Hitting Haitian Migrants with Straps

President Joe Biden has not apologized to border patrol officials after he accused them of hitting Haitian migrants with straps as they worked to secure the border while riding horses.

“It was horrible to see what you saw, to see people treated like they did,” Biden said last week. “Horses running them over, people being strapped. It’s outrageous. I promise you those people will pay.”

Biden accused the agents of hitting migrants even though there was no available evidence to back up his statement.

A photographer who took images even told Texas media that the images were “misconstrued” and that he never saw agents whip anyone.

On Monday, the New York Times issued a correction on their article describing the incident, noting the paper “has not seen conclusive evidence that migrants were struck with the reins.”

Hundreds of Honduran migrants are headed for the United States border, just days after Vice President Pence sat down with the Central American country’s leader, urging him to take a tougher stance on mass migrations.
At least 1,300 people, including young children, left San Pedro Sula in northern Honduras on Saturday, in what some are calling the “March of the Migrant,” Reuters reported.

Bartolo Fuentes, the organizer, told the news agency that the group plans to march through Guatemala and into Mexico. From there, participants will request refugee status, which would allow them to stay in the country, or they will apply for a visa to pass through into the U.S.

The development came just days after Pence met with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, President Jimmy Morales of Guatemala and Vice President Oscar Ortiz of El Salvador, asking them to step up and help combat illegal immigration in return for help from the U.S.

Hundreds of Hondurans head for US border in mass migration 'march': report

Subtext: I'm really scared of people who aren't white.

why would MILLIONS be trying to enter the US? Don’t they know this is a worker’s hellhole in which capitalist oppressors ruthlessly exploit the workers for starvation wages in sweatshop conditions and where the police forces engage in deliberately violent persecution and repression of all non white residents (Colin Kapernick and AOC told me so)?

Michael Bloomberg said during his failed campaign that America could absorb an additional 660 million people with no impact. The population in the US has nearly doubled in my lifetime and is looking more like a 3rd world cesspool every day. For some reason the leftist commies prefer to live in filth and squalor.

A country is a distinct territorial body of land. The separation between countries is a border. We no longer have a southern border as it is now just a propped open revolving door, thus we no longer have a country.

Can someone just go ahead and file the damn divorce paperwork already before this powder keg blows.
Both sides are striking matchsticks and one is eventually going to stay lit.

Panama Warns of Looming Haitian Migrant Wave, Tens of Thousands On The Way

According to Panama Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes, recent rush of Haitian migrants is only the beginning

Nearly 30,000 Haitian migrants have already made their way over the U.S.-Mexico border in recent weeks, but Panama's foreign minister says far more are on their way – and she has been sounding the alarm for months.

In a new interview with Axios, Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes said that since the beginning of 2021 more than 85,000 Haitians have crossed through Panama and that she believes "they all are heading toward the U.S."

"We've engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, 'Please, let's pay attention to this,'" Mouynes told the outlet.

Mouynes said she also met with members of Congress and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas earlier this week.
