President Biden's massive $1.75 trillion spending bill would drop a component of the child tax credit program that could lead to billions in payouts to illegal immigrants.

Tucked away on page 1,647 of the Build Back Better Act, the Democrats' social spending package, is a provision that would repeal the Social Security number requirement to obtain child tax credits. This change would expand child tax credits to parents of illegal immigrants who don't have Social Security numbers.

Steven Camarota, a Center for Immigration Studies researcher, estimated that eliminating the requirement could result in up to $2.3 billion in additional child tax credit payouts to illegal immigrants.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Texas Army National Guard soldiers conducted aerial deployment exercises along the U.S. bank of the Rio Grande Wednesday. The soldiers arrived and deployed via heavy lift helicopters to a recently erected makeshift border wall fashioned from recycled shipping containers. The drills are conducted as part of Operation Lone Star.

The soldiers could be seen disembarking from several CH-47 helicopters and moving toward the border behind the makeshift wall. Black Hawk helicopters also flew overhead. The Black Hawks are designed to provide fire suppression when supporting ground troops.

With Mexico in the backdrop, the riot gear-equipped soldiers formed line and wedge formations and moved strategically behind the barriers.

A law enforcement source within Customs and Border Protection revealed the number of migrants escaping apprehension reached 75,000 in Fiscal Year 2022, which began in October. The source says between 1,800 and 2,000 migrants are managing to elude apprehension daily along the southwest border.

The state of Veracruz has a long history of being used as a drug and human smuggling corridor connecting the port city of Veracruz and the central part of Mexico with the border state of Tamaulipas. That border state is currently seeing the brunt of the human smuggling activity in the areas controlled by the Gulf Cartel and the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas.

Veracruz is an interesting place - at least some of it is very scenic. It's a long way to the US border if any cops were interested in stopping and inspecting trucks along the way. For the record, the cops there are corrupt, but probably not much different from the rest of Mexico. I got the feeling you could disappear there and never be heard from again. After a traffic stop (I wasn't driving), I didn't feel safe until in the air out of Mexico City; that's a feeling I've never had in any other country.

Mothers Group Finds 20 Bodies in Mexican Cartel Killing Field

Women searching for the remains of their loved ones announced the discovery of at least 20 bodies in a cartel killing field in northern Mexico. The activists are calling on Mexico City to help validate the identities of the victims. This group often receives threats from criminal organizations.

Known as the Madres Buscadoras de Sonora (Searching Mothers from Sonora), the group’s members have lost loved ones by cartels and are trying to find answers as to their fates. In many cases, the victims had no connection with organized crime but were taken by mistake, as part of ransoms, or for sex trafficking.

This week, the group announced on social media they searched in a rural area known as Miguel Aleman de Hermosillo in Sonora. During their search, the group found seven mass graves with five full bodies and the charred remains of several others. The group believes that more than 20 were buried at the site.

A group of 2,000 migrants and asylum seekers marched off from the southern Mexico municipality of Tapachula across from the Guatemalan border overnight Sunday in the latest in a series of caravans setting out for the United States.

The caravan is the fourth to form in the state of Chiapas since Friday and had advanced approximately 15 miles, reaching the town of Huehuetán, a witness told Reuters.

Sanctuary State New Jersey: Illegal Alien Charged with Raping Pre-Teen

An illegal alien has been arrested after allegedly raping a pre-teen on multiple occasions in the sanctuary state of New Jersey, which shields criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation.

Victor Chitay, a 37-year-old illegal alien from Guatemala, was arrested and charged in Bergen County, New Jersey, on three counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault by contact, and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

According to police, Chitay allegedly raped a child under the age of 13 on a number of occasions. Chitay has been working as a roofer.

Remains of Suspected Migrant Found in West Texas Desert near Border

Deer hunters happened upon the gruesome sight of decomposing human remains as they moved through a remote desert region in West Texas on Sunday. The hunters summoned Culberson County Sheriff’s Office from Van Horn, Texas, after discovering the badly decomposed human remains lying on the desert floor.

Responding deputies recovered the mostly skeletal remains. The death of the suspected migrant will be added to the total of unattended migrant deaths the department deals with during the current border crisis.

Deputies located a wallet containing a Mexican identification card that may indicate the deceased is a migrant from the neighboring Mexican state of Chihuahua. Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the decedent’s identity will be verified through DNA tests. So far, 25 unattended migrant death cases have been investigated by Culberson County Sheriff’s deputies since February.
