Sure, why pass a bill that has half a billion dollars in it to stop Fentanyl from coming into the country?
Never underestimate the power of Donald J Trump then if you're hearing that drivel. Its a fact that Trump has blocked it. Numerous GOP Senators have confirmed that Trump told them to kill the deal to prevent Biden from having any success on the issue.
Insanity works really good now in the U.S.A. It's where complete madness rules.Johnson faces Slim Margin to pass Sec. Mayorkas impeachment TUESDAY: GOP hardliner Ken Buck digs in on 'no' vote claiming it's constitutionally 'wrong' to expel Biden's embattled official over southern border catastrophe
The vote to impeach Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas will come down to a razor-thin margin on Tuesday, with Colorado GOP Rep. Ken Buck dug in on opposing the effort.
Speaker Mike Johnson said on Friday he would talk to Buck over the weekend about his opposition to the impeachment effort, but a source close to Buck told DailyMail.com the congressman had not heard from him all weekend.
Buck is the only openly 'no' vote on impeaching the Homeland Security secretary. But Republicans can only afford to lose a small handful of votes and pass the impeachment articles.
Buck has been opposed to all impeachment efforts during his time in Congress - he has called the movement to impeach President Biden 'theater' and voted against impeaching former President Donald Trump twice.
If the vote is successful, Mayorkas will be the first Cabinet secretary impeached since Secretary of War William Belknap in 1876.

You keep referencing Trump with “campaign purposes” and “political posturing” with regards to the border bill. The bill, which Trump is trying to prevent from passing for his own campaign purposes, has specific provisions as to fentanyl. The bill would add $723 million is to hire additional Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents and support Border Patrol overtime and $424.5 million is to combat the entry of fentanyl and other illicit narcotics from entering the U.S.
But hey, Trump wants to campaign on the issue. All progress must be stopped in its tracks to help him in the polls.
Honestly, I don't know who is worse: Trump for shouting for years that this is the primary threat to the country, yet he undermines any progress on it; or those yahoos particularly in the House who are doing his bidding. The whole lot of them have ZERO credibility now on border issues.
Hopefully this is true:
Many Senate Republicans — even those who have expressed support for Ukraine aid and the contours of the border policy changes — raised doubts Monday they would support the package. A private Republican meeting was scheduled in the evening to discuss it.
Sen. Roger Wicker, a Mississippi Republican, exited a meeting with other GOP leaders and told reporters, “I think the proposal is dead.”
And when the National Border Patrol Council said they would not cut down Texas’ razor wire, and that the border disaster is Biden’s fault?Right, because you, Laura Loomer, Zerohedge and the whoever else's tweets you are all salivating over in this thread today have more expertise in border issues than the border patrol themselves. Get over yourself bro, you are not nearly as informed as you think you are.
How often do you see a chiropractor? It's got to be hard having to do so much of this for this White House.
