Millions of Illegal Aliens From All Over The World Head For U.S. Border

Sure, why pass a bill that has half a billion dollars in it to stop Fentanyl from coming into the country?

Why does he need another 1/2 billion dollars to stop fentanyl from coming in? Why can't that be in a stand alone bill if it's so important and why is he just now asking for it, he's been telling us for over 3 years our border was secure.

Its a fact that Trump has blocked it. Numerous GOP Senators have confirmed that Trump told them to kill the deal to prevent Biden from having any success on the issue.
Never underestimate the power of Donald J Trump then if you're hearing that drivel.
Put that sucker in prison & he'll still tell Senators how to vote. Sure thing, Jan.

Johnson faces Slim Margin to pass Sec. Mayorkas impeachment TUESDAY: GOP hardliner Ken Buck digs in on 'no' vote claiming it's constitutionally 'wrong' to expel Biden's embattled official over southern border catastrophe

The vote to impeach Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas will come down to a razor-thin margin on Tuesday, with Colorado GOP Rep. Ken Buck dug in on opposing the effort.

Speaker Mike Johnson said on Friday he would talk to Buck over the weekend about his opposition to the impeachment effort, but a source close to Buck told DailyMail.com the congressman had not heard from him all weekend.

Buck is the only openly 'no' vote on impeaching the Homeland Security secretary. But Republicans can only afford to lose a small handful of votes and pass the impeachment articles.

Buck has been opposed to all impeachment efforts during his time in Congress - he has called the movement to impeach President Biden 'theater' and voted against impeaching former President Donald Trump twice.

If the vote is successful, Mayorkas will be the first Cabinet secretary impeached since Secretary of War William Belknap in 1876.

Defiant Texas Gov. Abbott vows to EXPAND razor wire along crisis-stricken border as migrants reveal how TikTok Videos are Guiding Them To Easy Entry Points Along Southern Border

Texas governor Greg Abbott has vowed to expand the razor wire and military presence along the state's crisis-stricken southern border - as it emerges that TikTokers have been posting videos which alert migrants to the easiest entry points.

The move goes against an emergency SCOTUS ruling which authorized border police to remove miles of the wire - while also presenting yet another barb in his increasingly prickly relationship with President Joe Biden.

Staunch Trump supporter Abbott gathered 14 fellow Republican state governors at Shelby Park in Eagle Pass the day before.

TikTokers have been posting videos which alert migrants to the easiest illegal entry points into the US. (Pictured: migrants entering California through a hole in the fence)

Migrants who formed an orderly queue to cross through the hole on Sunday told 60 Minutes that they learned about the entryway thanks to a video on TikTok.

One video gives step-by-step instructions on hiring smugglers, and detailed directions to holes in the border defense.

Migrant smugglers have also been known to advertise their illegal services in exchange for cash on the Chinese-owned app.

An extensive USA Today report detailed the ways in which both migrants and human smugglers have been harnessing the power of social media to advise others making the journey and promote their services.

Insanity works really good now in the U.S.A. It's where complete madness rules.

The bipartisan bill, titled the “Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024,” would appropriate $118 billion in total for a variety of matters, including aid to Ukraine during its war against Russia and Israel during its conflict with Hamas, as well as border security, though it does not mandate the construction of a border wall. Lankford, during an appearance on Hewitt’s show, defended the bill’s text by claiming that it ensures a wall construction is “protected for the next administration,” enabling a future Republican administration to utilize the authority to construct it. (RELATED: Senate Releases Long-Awaited Text Of Bipartisan Border Security Bill)

Why doesn't it start now? Why doesn’t it build the whole thing? And why isn’t it done by November, Senator?” Hewitt asked Lankford. “[D]id you ask for the wall to be built now in its complete form as President Trump attempted to get it done during his first term?”

Lankford responded by asserting that wall construction was not mandated, though authority was given to enable Democrats and Republicans to make arguments to voters about the wall during the 2024 presidential election. “Biden has been fighting against building the wall over and over again on this, so this does compel that that money can only be used for that, and has to be used for that. But it blocks off the funding to say let’s have the election on it. And if Trump wins the election in November, then he’ll have a pot of money sitting there ready to do that wall construction on it,” Lankford said.

The bill, which Trump is trying to prevent from passing for his own campaign purposes, has specific provisions as to fentanyl. The bill would add $723 million is to hire additional Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents and support Border Patrol overtime and $424.5 million is to combat the entry of fentanyl and other illicit narcotics from entering the U.S.

But hey, Trump wants to campaign on the issue. All progress must be stopped in its tracks to help him in the polls.

Honestly, I don't know who is worse: Trump for shouting for years that this is the primary threat to the country, yet he undermines any progress on it; or those yahoos particularly in the House who are doing his bidding. The whole lot of them have ZERO credibility now on border issues.
You keep referencing Trump with “campaign purposes” and “political posturing” with regards to the border bill.

Why is the border suddenly a problem in the eyes of the Biden Democrats?

Is it for campaign purposes and political posturing? Or is it something else?

Senate GOP Staffers come to Verbal Blows in heated meeting on Border Deal

A weekly meeting of Senate GOP communications directors devolved into chaos on Monday morning over the bipartisan border security deal unveiled the night before.

The spat, confirmed to the Washington Examiner by four attendees, began when Billy Gribbin, the communications director for Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), started yelling at Aly Beley, the communications director for Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), as she delivered a presentation on her boss’s border agreement.

Gribbin began shouting about the contents of the bill and the process by which it was put together as a few tried to calm him down, with one meeting attendee urging Gribbin not to “make this personal.” A number of Gribbin’s colleagues, including communications directors for two conservative senators, stepped in to defend him, with one speaking up to say they were not “trying to make this personal.”

The dispute ended with Gribbin leaving the room while shouting the word “bertayal,” prompting applause from some of his more conservative colleagues. He declined to discuss the matter when reached by the Washington Examiner for comment, though one communications director who attended the meeting said Gribbin’s “reaction obviously was a lot but I think his attitude reflects how a lot of us feel.”

Hopefully this is true:

Many Senate Republicans — even those who have expressed support for Ukraine aid and the contours of the border policy changes — raised doubts Monday they would support the package. A private Republican meeting was scheduled in the evening to discuss it.

Sen. Roger Wicker, a Mississippi Republican, exited a meeting with other GOP leaders and told reporters, “I think the proposal is dead.”

Time for Trump to pay the piper.

Right, because you, Laura Loomer, Zerohedge and the whoever else's tweets you are all salivating over in this thread today have more expertise in border issues than the border patrol themselves. Get over yourself bro, you are not nearly as informed as you think you are.
And when the National Border Patrol Council said they would not cut down Texas’ razor wire, and that the border disaster is Biden’s fault?

Were you championing their expertise? That their opinion mattered? Or is this a new development?

And what has Biden been doing with migrants who are caught illegally crossing the border instead of detaining them? Releasing them into the country through ICE’s “Alternative to Detention” program.

The “Biden border bailout bill” puts this “Alternative to Detention” program on steroids, authorizing Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to put every migrant in the program who asks to be put. What this means in reality is that instead of being detained by ICE, migrants will be released into the country with only ankle monitors to slow them down.
