Not after Trump is elected when it will be twisted by the liberal media to be payback for the obvious persecution of Trump during this morons term resulting in 91 charges in a slew of different liberal sheitholes. It should have been done 3 years ago. It should have been done as soon as Governor Abbott and others realized what this clown was doing. Maybe we would have 10 or 15 million less unvetted invaders in our country.

LOL! The people coming here are poor and need government assistance. They take more than they pay in taxes in most cases. They are only making the cut bleed more and more. Tell you what. Let's cut all of them off from all government assistance and see how many can't make it and just go home....or start doing criminal stuff.

Why are you laughing at the idea that they contribute to gdp growth? You're not refuting that in any way, shape, or form. It's an incontrovertible truth. We can debate about how big the impact is, and if that number is the real number, but the fact of the matter is they have a significant positive impact on GDP.

They are a drain to tax payers. A net fiscal drain of $68,000 per person over their lifetime. Forget GDP, they are digging our hole even deeper with the deficit.

First of all, that's talking specifically about illegal immigrants. OP was about all immigration. Also, that's probably the most biased think tank on the matter.

The Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement did not call witnesses from these research institutions. Instead, the majority sought the input of partisans like Steven Camarota, of the Center for Immigration Studies, an organization described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as “an anti-immigrant hate group,”

BTW, my Dad is a conservative who has Fox News type opinions about immigration, but he was a research economist for the National Academy of Science, and he will tell you they do good work. Everybody knows CIS is a joke.

What is this BS chart supposed to tell us other than supporting an agenda?

“Of the 168 million workers in the United States, more than 30 million are immigrants. In 2022, their median earnings were 86.9% of their native-born colleagues.”

So FBW contributed roughly 15-20% to GDP growth over 4 years, but represent at minimum 20% (higher than 30M immigrants) of the working force. A bigger gdp, with more people, doesnt increase SOL no matter how large an economy, otherwise why not let 300M in?
