Whether or not you believe we should provide asylum, we must consider that the conditions Hondurans currently deal with are largely the result of our nation's actions in the region.
U.S. roots of Honduran emigration
Our quest to quell communism in Latin America has caused all sorts of problems. We stopped communism for the most part but we ended up with banana republics and populist nations and massive emigration problems as a result.
not sure. would need to know how much is yet to be built. how much is built but needs upgrading, conditions, etc.So at that rate, how much is it going to cost to finish the wall along the border?
No. If they claim asylum at a port of entry I have no issues with it after background checks. The wall issue was used to get votes, and it worked. Most of the border already has walls/fencing. People will go under, over, or around whatever we build. Massive waste of money imo.Zep you want to grant asylum to just anyone, but first just let them cross the border we’ll straighten out the details later?
Land mines would be much more effective.No. If they claim asylum at a port of entry I have no issues with it after background checks. The wall issue was used to get votes, and it worked.
