Did yall read above that 1 Mexican they apprehended in texas had been convicted of RAPING A CHILD and only got 9 months in jail in washington st? Wtf is wrong with our country? You will do a year in prison easy for a gram of coke or heroin if you have ever been in any trouble before...get charged with trafficking for 2 grams or more, which is only 2 days worth for the average junkie...thats mandatory 5 years fed time...but you can RAPE A CHILD and get 9 months? Seriously? That should be a life sentence..as in 20 years, 17 years mandatory for a fed charge. Raping a child...slap on the wrist? He just ruined that kids life...will have mental and maybe physical scars for life. 9 months? That was probably time served by the time he went from the county jail to his trial date...so he likely never even went to prison. For raping a damn kid. What is wrong with this country? What kind of liberal judge slapped his wrist? Why is there not a mandatory federal sentence for that heinous crime but there is for dope charges? I would love to say that a conservative judge down here in the Bible belt wouldn't ever let that happen...but DAs and judges get bribed here, too...a guy that was my BILs dealer got popped with 4 or 5 grams of heroin, in separate bags, charged with trafficking which has 5 year mandatory...was already on probation from prior dope charges..his lawyer said 20 grand to defend him. Guy tells lawyer that he can't do any time, has a kid on the way...lawyer says OK, 40 grand. Ends up getting charges reduced to nearly nothing, pleads out...got probation run concurrent with probation he was already on...that leaves no doubt that the other 20 grand went to the DA for sure to reduce the charges, and probably the judge too, to get him to just give probation concurrent to a known drug dealer...basically he got nothing at all as the penalty other than the 40k and whatever bond money he had to pay a bondsman. Thats our justice system. Rich man is above the law, poor people usually get hung by public defenders. The system is broken.

Bedford County Asks for ICE’s Help on Illegal Immigrant Activity

At least three Bedford County commissioners are concerned about what they say are alleged instances of drug deals, prostitution, gambling, and human trafficking at a local venue for Mexican rodeos and horse races.

One of the commissioners wrote a letter to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement describing their concerns about what is known as the Rancho La Herradura in Bell Buckle.

This commissioner has asked that The Tennessee Star not identify him, at least not at this time.

“According to witnesses, neighbors and constituents, the said rodeo consisted of typical events consistent with a rodeo with the exception, according to sources, of gambling, drug sales, drug use, underage girls and weapons,” the commissioner wrote.

“Other sources have told me the underage girls are part of prostitution and/or human trafficking operation which is prevalent both in Bedford County and neighboring Rutherford County.”

No one at Rancho La Herradura returned The Star’s repeated requests for comment Tuesday.

The commissioner went on to say an Omar Edgar Torres-Rangel, possibly known as Edgar R. Torres, attended a rodeo late last month.

“In an intoxicated state, Mr. Torres drove his vehicle north bound in the southbound lane of State Highway 231 where a head-on collision killed a Bedford County resident Keri King, age 29,” the commissioner wrote.

“Criminal charges are pending against Torres, who is recovering in the hospital.”

We have had the very real problem of drunk amigos getting on the interstate on the wrong side at night time and killing people in head on collisions. Happened several times here in Charlotte in recent years. I caution my guys at work about drunk driving, hope that they listen. I am guessing some of the central american countries must drive on the other side (left) of the road...i know many of the guys have never had a car or driven before coming here. Its crazy.

This is the moment a man opened fire on a sheriff's deputy who pulled him over in Arkansas for a traffic violation – forcing a man driving along the same road to cower behind his truck as the pair exchanged fire.

Luis Cobos-Cenobio, 29, had been told to pull over by a deputy while driving north on S. Barrington Road near Tontitown at around 12.45pm on Sunday afternoon.

But he continued driving and turned onto Steele Road – before eventually coming to a stop.

When Washington County Corporal Brett Thompson exited his vehicle, Cobos-Cenobio got out of his car and immediately began shooting, Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

After traveling a short distance, he let a female passenger out of the car before taking off again.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents stopped migrants with histories of violence, gang membership, and sex offenses from successfully making their way into the U.S. interior. The arrests occurred in multiple incidents over the Veteran’s Day holiday weekend.

Agents assigned to the McAllen Border Patrol Station arrested a migrant who illegally crossed the border near Mission, Texas, on the afternoon of November 12. During an immigration interview, the agents learned that the migrant came from El Salvador. A criminal history check revealed SEXUAL abuse of a CHILD or minor. A Washington, D.C. court convicted the man on the charge and sentenced him to 180 days in confinement, according to Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

Later that day, McAllen Station agents apprehended a Guatemalan national near Sullivan City. The agents arrested the illegal immigrant and transported him for processing and a background investigation. Agents found court records that indicated the Guatemalan received a conviction from a court in Los Angeles, California, in 2016 for LASCIVIOUS acts with a CHILD. The court sentenced the man to one year in confinement.

Two days earlier, McAllen Station agents arrested a Mexican man near Mission, Texas. A biometric background investigation revealed the Grant County, Washington, Sheriff’s Office arrested the illegal immigrant from Mexico on a charge of RAPE of a CHILD. The Washington State court convicted the man and sentenced him to serve nine-months confinement.

On Friday morning, agents assigned to the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint, located on U.S. Highway 281 about 80 miles north of the U.S. border with Mexico, arrested a U.S. citizen for allegedly attempting to smuggle a group of 22 illegal immigrants. The agents took the group of migrants to the station for a background investigation. During a records check, agents learned that one of the men received a conviction from a Salvadoran court for AGGRAVATED HOMICIDE. The court sentenced the man to 18 years in prison.

And finally, the La Joya Police Department contacted the McAllen Border Patrol Station on Thursday about a failed human smuggling attempt. Agents responded to the scene and identified two of the subjects as illegal immigrants. The agents transported the migrants to the station for a background check that revealed one of the men to be a known member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.

An illegal Mexican immigrant has been indicted for murdering a shipmate with a hammer and injuring two others in an attack on board a fishing vessel off the coast of Massachusetts.

Franklin Freddy Meave Vazquez, 27, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Thursday for murder in the second degree, attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon over the fishing boat attack back in September.

Meave Vazquez was on board the Captain Billy Haver ship about 55 miles off the coast of Massachusetts with six other crew members on September 23 when he allegedly attacked a man with a hammer and knife.

The US Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts said the man who was attacked saw another crew member already lying on the deck bleeding.

Meave Vazquez allegedly then struck a third crew member with the hammer.

Illegal Immigrant father is Arrested three years after driving off a pier Killing his Severely Autistic Children 'in bid to collect $6 Million insurance money'

A father is charged with defrauding insurance companies by intentionally driving his two severely autistic children off a Los Angeles pier to collect the proceeds of accidental death policies he'd taken out.

Ali F. Elmezayen, 44, drove his children, ages 8 and 13, and his partner, who was a passenger in the car, into the ocean in April 2015. He is said to have bought accidental death insurance policies amounting to $6 million, according to NBC Los Angeles.

Both children were unable to escape from the vehicle and drowned. According to Elmezayen's insurance companies, he was paid $260,000 following their deaths.
