Masonry is a great example. 20 years ago the vast majority of brickmasons in charlotte were americans, black and white men doing good work.

Juan pedro valdez starts a brick crew in charlotte. He employs all amigos, probably all illegal except maybe him or his wife, who gained citizenship with an "anchor baby". Juan pays his masins 12 bucks an hour, and laborers 8...where Americans make 30 to 40% more than that...because his guys live 8 to a 2 bedroom apartment on the crap side of town, dont have cars or payments bexause they are illegal and cant get a license, etc....so Juan gets the contracts on all the new subdivisions to lay their brick, because he can underbid the americans by at least 25% due to his illegal labor. Americans are out of work. America loses.

Problem is, there isnt 1 juan....there are thousands of them. Starting those "business " that you talked about. There are so many that American masonry crews are a thing of the past here. There are zero. They cant get work, and the price to lay 1000 brick hasnt gone up in 20 years, due to the amigos. It is still about 400 dollars per thousand. Cost of living has increased dramatically for americans though, making sure that we could never make a decent living laying brick anymore. I lived through this reality.

Here is the real kicker....living 8 or 10 to a house or apartment, all of them to a man bringing their lunches everyday of leftovers from supper the night before...these guys are not only thriving and bringing more and more of their friends and family, they wire 25% or more of what they earn back to their family members in mexico or central america. That money is gone from our economy, poof!! It doesnt buy US goods or services, doesnt help us at all. It hurts our country...while juan and all of his helpers have their kids in US schools, often times draw welfare, SNAP, etc...they teach eachother how to game the system.

I cant tell you how many times i have been at the grocery store in line behind a family of amigos with 250 dollars worth of hot pockets, pizzas, microwave this and that...in addition to all the normal mexican foods...and when they get to pay they whip out the old Red White and Blue foodstamp card, and cant speak a word of english to communicate with the lady running the register. Sucks to see them abuse the system while my wife and I bargain shop and dont splurge on the "convenience foods" to make sure we stay in our budget.

But yeah Huff...just open up those borders buddy...bring em all in. Hell with our country and the people who have worked so hard and paid into the system that they abuse. Thank God there are a lot more people who think like the rest of us than there are confused people like you.

US Shuts Down Busiest Border Crossing between Mexico, California

U.S. border officials on Monday shut down all vehicular traffic flowing north from Mexico into California at the country's busiest border crossing and diverted staff to help bulk up the infrastructure and security there, in anticipation of the arrival of thousands of migrants traveling in caravans from Central America.

The San Ysidro port of entry, which processes 20,000 pedestrians and 70,000 vehicles moving from Tijuana to San Diego each day, closed all passenger and commercial lanes and one of its two pedestrian crossings.

The port's 26 passenger lanes and 22 pedestrian lanes see more traffic than any in the entire Western Hemisphere.

"U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials have temporarily suspended vehicle processing for northbound travelers at the San Ysidro port of entry Monday morning to position additional port hardening materials," CBP, the federal agency that oversees all port activity, said in a statement issued Monday.

An unspecified number of "temporary impediment measures," or objects meant to block people from entering, including razor wire and Jersey barriers, were being set up at the port. "After the materials are in position, CBP will resume processing northbound vehicle traffic in select lanes at the border crossing," CBP said.

What I find fascinating is how the Mexicans are pissed because all of these people showed up and wanted to feed at their food trough. When the border was open NBD, lock the invaders out and it's another story.

Fourth Arrest in case of Illegal Immigrant who ICE says Killed 3 after ‘Sanctuary’ Release

Prosecutors announced a fourth arrest Monday in the case of an illegal immigrant charged with killing three people in Missouri after being released from a New Jersey jail.

Nyadia Burden, 25, purchased the bullets that Luis Rodrigo Perez, 23, used in two separate shootings Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 that left three people dead and two wounded, Missouri prosecutors said.


Burden was charged with murder as have Perez and an alleged accomplice Aaron Anderson, 19. Perez's New Jersey girlfriend was charged with tampering with evidence. They were all arrested a few days after the shootings.
Burden told police that Perez said he was going to kill Josh Hampton, 23, one of the victims, KYTV reported.

She said after purchasing the bullets, she, Perez and the accomplice went back to her house where they marked the bullets with a sharpie as they were quoting a song called “Murder on My Mind,” according to the station.

She told police that on Nov. 1, Perez, Anderson and Sabrina Starr left her house and returned later around midnight, the station reported. She remembers Perez saying Hampton was dead and he and Anderson saying that the others were shot because they were there.

change the law to what? allow anybody in?

I'll tell you what. I will go along with that if it is mandatory that every immigrant be fingerprinted, retinal scanned and DNA typed. Then, when they have paid taxes for 5 years, they can become citizens and receive benefits. Other than that, nope. There should be a cost associated with coming here.

Oh and get so much as a parking ticket and out you go.
