Milton moving forward

When I said drama, I meant this past week. Hopefully it’s squashed now. I’m not getting into the details but Banks got ticked off at Hooker. The stomping on the “T” inside the locker room is true. He was called out on it and and told to do push-ups. He refused hence words being exchanged and Banks getting riled up at Hooker. I don’t know the exact day it occurred but he didn’t play last night. I don’t know if HEUP asked his leadership council to decide on the punishment (captains, etc) or id Heup made the decision.

My apologies if my prior post implied there was a cancer. From what I know, this team is close and Hooker is def the leader of this team as he is 24 years old and more mature than the others. Plus he is the QB but again, his age helps with maturity.

Age has not been a positive factor for many of our EVERY BOARD HAS THEM posters.

Vandy has the 75th rushing D

Tennessee needs to lean on the run game. Three backs, along with Milton and Fant (if needed) Tennessee should be more than capable.

That depends if our laughable secondary can actually defend anything. Vandy will no doubt review the Carolina tape and attack those exposed weaknesses.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we can win with Joe at QB and our defense. 9-4.
Joe won't be the problem, he had 2 great drives just didn't finsh one, will get better with all the reps with the 1's. Heads up play chucking it in the end zone when USC jumped offsides and gave us a free play...a defense that gives up TDs on 9 of 12 possessions is the problem. Won't win a lot of games giving up 63.

Well, Bob told us no less than 15 times last night they were kicking away from Legette 🙄
I don’t listen to BOB! What does kicking it out of the end zone have to do with kicking it away from him . If you kick it out the end zone , he ain’t gonna run back there and grab it 😂😂😂 some of you all

I think it's fair to say Hendon of the two was further along but to suggest since the Alabama game that he was dialed in is not the case. Not to say that it's on Hendon but just that he and the team were not dialed in like they were up to the Alabama. Here's hoping Hendon a speedy recovery and much success in his future. It was great having him here and he will be a great VFL.
I mean the dude missed some throws here and there but he was orchestrating the best offense in the country statistically. He was dialed in, to say different is really just nitpicking.

Who will be Milton's backup? I have seen Gaston Moore listed who I know nothing about....I assume Jackson is still injured?

He finds himself at the head of team with broken dreams and reeling after last night.

He can lead us....
He can finally do the things he set out to do.
Prove to himself that he's more than just a big arm and prove to everyone else that he is a good QB.l

I'll be honest. I don't have a great deal of confidence in him.
But I can't tell the future, so I'm allowing myself to imagine "what if"

If he goes 2-0 these last games....then he comes into what could be another magical year in 2023.

Right now....like it or not. Joe Milton III is the one dude that can bring us back to the light.

Those ~70-yard passes the past two games give reason for optimism.

Needs to learn to control and put touch on the ball. Reminds me of the kid you'd play catch with in the backyard that can throw hard and fast, but you can't ever catch anything he throws because it flies over your head at 10,000 mph.

I don't have much confidence in Milton but I am still in my Nega feels. Just hasn't exhibited the touch on the football for me.

11/19/22 is one of the worst days in program history but we can still fight for a really good season.

If the staff can't motivate our players to finish the year with some balls then it's troubling. Maybe we just need the toxic players from the Pruitt era to matriculate out.
