Think if you owned a house in Minneapolis right now. People will vote with their feet but holy hell your property values will take a beating.

Right, I imagine the Sheriffs department is about to expand significantly.

Do these simpletons think they're just going to let it be the wild west?
So the MPD will disband and the county Sheriff will need to hire a city PD's worth of people to cover the metro area.
Wonder who some candidates might be?

I think anyone with a brain would agree our criminal justice system is broken. Has been for a very long time. I don’t know if this will work. But I know what we are doing currently isn’t working. And I am not even talking about the murder of civilians. Just in general it’s screwed up. But most on here think we should just do that definition of insanity thing.

So the police are going to be replaced by...um...other police. That makes sense.
I would say the MPD cops will just trade uniforms. And if a big enough stink is caused regarding hiring them, how are you going to market these jobs to other candidates? Come here and get **** pay to be yelled at and possibly fired when politically expedient.

So disbanding the MPD is just a token gesture, got it. Trade one force for another, that'll fix it!

So if they defund the police department, is that money going to be returned to the taxpayers?
Hell no, the crooks in power always find a way to make money on the backs of taxpayers. Can't do that if you give it back to them.
