This loss can either push the team or break the team. We’ll see how the season pans out.

Today wasn’t our best game and you can say Georgia wasn’t worried about scoring in the second half but the reality is Georgia hit their deep shots, we didn’t. We had Bennett sacked and he gets away and scores. 4 point swing. We miss Hyatt deep, that’s 7.

We’ve gotta play our A game to beat Georgia and we played our D game. Happens. Gotta regroup. We’ve got a whole lot to play for.

We gotta win out. We’ve gone from hoping for a bowl game to being back in the Natty convo. If we win out and win big, we could face them rich dawgs again

We need that rematch. It’s hard to beat a team twice. Bama beat UGA by 17 in the SECCG last year and then struggled heavily against them in the natty

I live in Missouri. Similar to some of y'all that live on the west side of the great state of Tennessee, I occasionally see people wearing black and gold. More often than not, I see it hanging on racks for sale with nobody buying it.

That being said, I will say that despite my wearing Tennessee gear almost every day to work (I do wear band/concert shirts sometimes), I have yet to have one single Mizzou fan do any form of chirping at me about it. After the absolute thrashing they received from the Vols at their place last year (I was in attendance, it was GLORIOUS to see their fans leaving midway through the 1st quarter), they know what's coming; and since they just gave their coach an extension, what's going to continue happening.

I don't want the guys to just beat Mizzou. A win is nice, great, and all that jazz.......this needs to be a reminder of who we really are and who they never will be again. This needs to be like last year, completely over and done with by the middle of the first quarter. This needs to be an absolute thrashing, but not because of my fandom behind enemy lines, but because it's Senior Night at Neyland. Those gentlemen have absolutely exemplified the saying on the sign that they touch prior to every game: "I will give my all for Tennessee today". Those seniors have absolutely been through hell, and have made it through the fire. This is their last game in Neyland Stadium, and they, more than anyone else, deserve this win.

The phrase "Vols by fitty" has been bandied about all season, mostly in a joking manner. It's time that it comes to fruition, for our seniors.

Vols 70
Mizzou 13 (garbage time TD against the 14th stringers and walk-ons).

Mizzou has a defense. They ain't UGA, but after yesterday, I fully expect them to play man on us and bring the house at Hooker. I think this will be a good chance to see whether yesterday's result was due more to lack of adjustment and and execution or talent gap.

I doubt yesterday's loss will break this team. As poorly as we played, which was terrible, we were still in it the entire game. A couple of on-target passes and it would have been a nail biter. Losses like yesterday hurt, but they have a tendency to galvanize players' spirits to never let that happen to them again. At least if their true competitors, which I believe this team consists of fully.
