Um, what?

I will say that the injuries have been managed better but UT has had its share this year. Lane, Ayres (who would have helped the run game from TE), Saulsberry (who was playing the best of any DL when injured), Maggitt, Jones, Williams, Young, Vereen, J Smith,... for a team as thin as this one that is too many injuries. And then you can throw in Couch to make matters a little worse.

50/50. Good that their best player, the most important player on the field won't play vs us. Bad because historically, backup players filling in vs UT ALWAYS look like Heisman trophy candidates on the verge of breaking every NCAA record known to man.

I think that may be partially attributed to in game adjustments. If we know the player ahead of time hopefully we can have a game plan. We struggle when we plan for a certain QB and then we have to face the backup. Just my opinion.

Yea cause a statement based on our history is negative. Grow up stop with thw name calling.

How about a new history and let's let this team and 1st year coach make it!!! Maybe just maybe this team won't repeat it!!! Think that's what most want!!!:hi:

And this is exactly why your backup needs to be 100% ready, 100% of the time. So Riley/Dobbs and a repaired Peterman better be ready -- even for just a play or 2, because almost nobody plays the whole season without missing a play under center. GoVols!

My DVR missed the last quarter of the game. Could someone tell me how Missouri put 13 more points on the board against Georgia? Was it the backup QB or running plays?

Therefore it will always happen....come on man. Do you also throw salt over your shoulder after breaking a mirror? Avoid the 13th floor of hotels? Believe in the tooth fairy?

It's really only happened twice...both against LSU in the SECCG. The first one was a disaster....we simply were not prepared to handle a running QB. But that's not why we lost anyway...we lost because of a key turnover near the end.

In the second SECCG, the QB was almost not a factor. LSU was better than us at almost every position. We limited their QB also...we only lost that game because of two late Ainge ints. Was the backup QB playing DB?

I just hate superstitions....this one time the backup QB beat us so OH NO!!! IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. It's just silly....

Their backup QB played well today. I don't think this makes it an easy W, but it definitely makes it easiER.

Forecast: When we beat Mizzo and their fans say it only happened because JF was hurt we will remind them of their Georgia game and who didn't play because of a Tennessee player being fierce and aggressive and taking no prisoners.

I'm not saying anything about Tennessee players being involved in injuries. They were clean plays, and it's very unfortunate that the Uga players got hurt.

The number of key injuries in the SEC East this year is unfortunate. That being said, I'd much rather face Mizzou without JF.

"ALWAYS" is a long time. Apparently, people tend to only remember the games when a backup came in and beat the Vols. There are plenty of games when a backup QB came in and didn't do so well. If we hurt La-Monroe's QB, would anyone remember that the backup was terrible?
