obviously you dont know what it means. If something is critical it means you absolutely can not do without it. If you can find me one position on the football field that a freshman has never done well at, i will admit I was wrong and you were right.
I'll tell you this, none of these freshmen are in a position to contribute hugely right away because none of them come in as world beaters. So this year, experience is critical. You speak in absolutes like because one freshman comes in and dominates that means every single freshman can. They can't. The next time you try to be a smartass, think before you speak.
I would argue that if you think JuJuan James doesn't have a chance to come in as a true freshman and make an impact than you are speaking out of your ass. This kid was a great talent coming out and one of the more polished OL prospects in the country. Next to Seantrel Henderson I would put JJ as the most likely freshman to make an impact on the OL in the country.
So JJ isn't going to make his fair share of rookie mistakes when he plays in front of the huge crowds and the talent in the SEC? James is oh so talented, but he's not on the level E. Berry was coming in when he contributed.
So the old poster on ESPN i've quoted a couple of times thus far (works in athletic department - admissions i think) confirms Mustain has some interest in UT.
However, with the rule against seniors transfering to the SEC - this will not be confirmed until the appeal goes through. He is in no way a UT lock, but he has shown interest and spoken to staff.
So if the stars align (i.e. appeal goes through and Mitch decides on UT) then expect him to be behind center!
this is so dumb. These guys are acting like freshmen only come in and play well every once in awhile. IT happens every year all over the country at every position. I would much rather have young talented inexperienced offensive lineman than experienced offensive lineman that cant play.

Nobody is claiming the he is, but if you think EB was the only ever true freshman we have had contribute then you are nuts. Sure the kid will make mistakes, but so did EB as late as last year. Fact of the matter is an EE true freshman with good size and incredible talent has a chance of making as good (or more) of a contribution than a more experienced player with less talent. PERIOD

im expecting them to come in and be above average offensive lineman in the sec immediately. When people say stuff like "experience is critical" either you dont know what the word critical means or you are saying that freshman dont come in and play well. When people are astounded that i would say that dozens of freshman offensive lineman come in and play well every yr they dont know what they are talking about.
