Yes, US copyright and patent holders (i.e. corporations) are seriously threatened by any agreement with New Zealand.

Under the original agreement, if a member country had an issue involving labor costs, the governing body could levelize all wages within the group so that they all fall in line with each other. That means that New Zealand, for example, could set the cost of minimum wage throughout the other member states.

New Zealand, if they feel that another member country has an unfair advantage with regards to environmental standards, could have the governing body set environmental limits/restrictions on the other member states.

Keep in mind that in these two examples involving environmental regulations and labor, this would all bypass a member states legislature and each member state would forfeit those powers to the trade union.
