We will dial up a lot of blitz. The game plan will be the opposite of Kentucky. Make them one dimensional on the ground.
The stats would tend one to think this way. These are the numbers through yesterdays games. Keep and mind to date the Vols have played the 14th ranked toughest schedule and Missouri the 15th, so the numbers should match up fairly well.
Rushing Offense Vols ranked 3rd at 228 yards per game
Rushing Defense Missouri at 24th giving up 114 yards per game
Rushing Offense Missouri at 76th at 149 yards per game
Rushing Defense Vols ranked 13th giving up 93 yards per game
We have ran the ball well on some really good defenses. They don't run the ball well even on poor competition. So this should be a big plus for us.
Passing Offense Vols ranked 58th at 239 yards per game
Passing Defense Missouri at 64th giving up 239 yards per game
Passing Offense Missouri at 58th at 239 yards per game
Passing Defense Vols ranked 53rd giving up 222 yards per game
Our passing offense looks to be improving but with loss of Hadden our DBs are not as good. Both teams should throw for more than their average, slight edge to Missouri
I think Banks' defense this week will look a lot like we played at A&M where we laid our ears back and rushed the QB and dared them to run it.
Vols in a close one 34-30
