MLB cancels ASG in Atlanta

I agree. Living near mountains, the beach, the busiest airport in America and only being able to play golf 300 days a year really sucks.

not sure "busiest airport" is a good thing. That kinda sucks. Matter of opinion I guess.

There are lots of places with mountains and beaches. America is great

Passed the republican majority legislature and signed into law by the Republican governor.

I've seen some good arguments in favor of the law and I've seen some dumb ones. Saying it "hurts republicans" is about the dumbest. Sorry if that offends
Why is pointing out the fact that Rs are losing elections an argument for or against the law? It's just a fact. You want it to be an argument because you bit off more of the partisan apple than you can chew and dont want to face the reality.

The elected Rs took power away from appointed Rs. I usually call that a win.

don't forget - 50 miles to the DMV and no mailboxes or post offices
LaFayette must be a g*d**n geographical oddity then because I’m within 15 a minute drive from two post offices, a county registrar’s office and a DDS office. Not to mention 3 official polling stations.

Colorado voting laws are similar to Georgia's despite decision to move Major League Baseball All-Star Game

Major League Baseball announced that they are moving the 2021 All-Star Game out of Georgia in protest of the state's new voting laws — and it now it is reportedly headed to Colorado, which has some rules that are similar, if not more restrictive.

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that the MLB will relocate the game to Denver’s Coors Field after pulling it from Atlanta over Georgia voting laws. In response, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp addressed the situation, comparing the two states' procedures, saying he is baffled by the decision.

"Georgia has 17 days of in-person early voting including two optional Sundays, Colorado has 15," the Republican governor said. "So what I'm being told, they also have a photo ID requirement. So it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me."

It's called MLB getting into something they really had no idea they were getting into.

I would use an Uncle Remus analogy, but I'd be called a racist.

Dont forget twice the ratio of minorities down here compared to good ole white New York.

I'm in Catoosa County, 15 min to 2 DDS, county registrar, 3 post offices, 3 polling stations. Oh, and 300 feet to my mail box

Let them run their state and you worry about your state. I sure wouldn't want Georgia telling us here in Ohio how to run things

Ok, sounds good. then these folks should stop bitching about baseball running their league as well

I think they will be okay.

They probably will. But after a year of no spectator baseball, taking an intentionally divisive action that is so obviously devoid of any real meaning is not the foot I’d want to get the 2021 season started.

I bet this turns out to be a PR disaster for MLB.

Nah, I suspect people will be done talking about it by the end of the week. They kinda already are
