MLB cancels ASG in Atlanta

In the 3 most recent statewide elections that were held in the state of Georgia... Republicans did lose. Why are you arguing this? Biden won Georgia in the 2020 Presidential Election. Ossof defeated Perdue and Warnock defeated Loeffler in the two Senate runoff elections. I'm not guessing here... those are facts.

I don't think any of us are saying they didn't "win" the elections.

Now, how many of those were valid?

Actually, 1 or 2 Republicans won statewide in 2020.

And at this point the people of GA elected reps that wrote this legislation that they want. If not, then new reps will be put into place.

The MLB All-Star game generated about $49 million for the local economy when it was hosted in Atlanta in 2000, according to Baseball Almanac. The 2019 All-Star Game was projected to bring in $65 million for Cleveland, according to the same site.

So even in a an off year (covid) the city of Atlanta is going to lose several million in local revenue because MLB wants to prove a political point to the state of GA.

You are the one with sour grapes... Systemic voter fraud was not proven.

Okay, sure.

I guess if (when) the pendulum swings back the other way, Stacey Abrams will get up and say how the racist laws prevented people from voting when, in reality, this actually expands the voting and protects it at the same time.

I think everyone should adopt the Florida voting system. Seems like after 2000, they got their stuff together and have a pretty good system.

How would one go about disproportionally telling people what days to vote and to show an ID?

You simply can’t envision from where you are posting that Georgians could be anything other than racists.

Uhhh.. is this a serious question? Did they teach African American history at UT? Sad.

Nobody seems to notice this but compared to 2020, most counties in GA will actually offer more early voting hours in future elections under the new law.
Nobody wants to notice it.

The political angle is too important.

What was in the suitcase the poll workers pulled out from under the table after they told everyone to go home?

And what plumber was called to fix the “leaking pipe”?

Good move. Good for them and for Delta and others.

Sad that private businesses have to stand up for black folks because the government won't but oh well. Our black friends survived Jim crow laws the 1st time and they will survive this modern version.

Never forget yall came out and voted in droves in 2020 and it was Republicans that tried to silence you in 2021.
It will backfire on the repubs. Some are already realizing the mistake.

Interesting me calling Luther a moron was removed when I was just calling him what he called all Republicans. I see a ton of name calling in the PF but not much gets removed.
Just for future reference, it doesn't bother me in the least when you call me a moron.
In the PF more so than anywhere, one must always consider the source.

I would never and have never called all republicans morons. Just like Hillary never said they all belong in the basket of deplorables.

And that dipstick Governor in Georgia goes on Fox News yesterday "were gonna stand up and fight"

Fight what exactly? I thought this was supposed to just be a law, I didn't realize it was something used in a "fight". Kinda letting the cat outta the bag with his intentions
