It is actually an expansion of the use of drop boxes as before it was they could only be used in emergency situations. Now, voters are guaranteed one. Also the bill states exactly how far apart they need to be spread, so your fear in this post is pretty much irrelevant. I believer it is 1 for every 100k people in a county.I think the question should be is why did Georgia change the law? 3 audits / recounts, 1 round of random signature audits found nothing to warrant the change. The reason for the change is clear. I also think some of the language in the bill is dubious at best. They guarantee a minimum of one drop off box for absentee ballots in every county. So that means they could easily go the Texas route and put one box in the most populous (blue) counties and multiple in the less populous (red) counties. If they would change some of the language in the bill it wouldn't be as big of an issue.
So you believe there was no fraud, even by the same Rs who have now changed the law based on pre Nov 2020 feedback?Sour grapes.
They (Republicans) made changes to voting laws because Republican Party nominees just lost 3 statewide elections (the presidency and both senate runoff races).
Systemic voter fraud was not proven in the state of Georgia during the 2020 election cycle despite an unprecedented level of post-election scrutiny.
The MLB All-Star game generated about $49 million for the local economy when it was hosted in Atlanta in 2000, according to Baseball Almanac. The 2019 All-Star Game was projected to bring in $65 million for Cleveland, according to the same site. How much revenue does the All Star game produce in a host city?
I think it should be easy but at the same time to prove that you are who you say you are...... here is North Carolina..... it would be so easy to commit fraud..... I just want it done right...I think they should make it as easy as possible myself. Because I believe in democracy and voter participation
You keep saying that yet haven’t responded to any question about specifics in the bill that you think affect groups disproportionally.Because it was a response to black voters and their participation, not to poor whites
If Trump, Perdue and Loeffler had won their elections in Georgia? This bill would not have been written. So you believe there was no fraud, even by the same Rs who have now changed the law based on pre Nov 2020 feedback?
In the 3 most recent statewide elections that were held in the state of Georgia... Republicans did lose. Why are you arguing this? Biden won Georgia in the 2020 Presidential Election. Ossof defeated Perdue and Warnock defeated Loeffler in the two Senate runoff elections in January. I'm not guessing here... those are facts. If you still are able to pass legislation, you're not losing.
