I wouldn't consider myself a professional, but I have coached DBs at the HS level for 30+ years and have had 7 or 8 play professionally. Have known Coach Martinez when he was at Georgia and Auburn and got to pick his brain on a number of occasions. In my opinion he is as good as anyone and is working with less than optimal talent at the CB position. The DB geniuses and the constant complainers on here are all languishing in the Leonard's Losers Ignore List so I don't see all the crap they whine about. Again, I would never try to pass myself off as an "expert" but have been fortunate to be around a good many of these coaches over the years.

I admit I got a little snarky but short of the obvious, too many on here don't know and/or understand what they are watching on Saturday. I freely admit I don't.

You are exactly what I was referring to in my post. Someone who's done this for a living (a professional) for a number of years and knows what they are looking at.

By the way, thank you Sir for your dedication to our youth and never ending job of making men out of boys. It DOES NOT go unappreciated.. 👍

Been curious as well. If he made it in that should be considered big news 🤔 unless he’s wanting to keep it private, why wouldn’t AP come out and say he didn’t make it?

Yeah I had a moment like that this year. I was infuriated as to why we were playing zone all the time against Florida and giving up all kinds of plays. I listened to Ainge later that week and he said that either you have guys who can play good man coverage or you don't....it's that simple. Also said that playing good zone takes time. Have to have everyone on the same page. Seems as if this area has improved with time, and Gotta roll with what you have I suppose.
